I've been using tretinoin for a couple years now. About a year ago, when my skin was well-acclimated to it, I had my brow person so a little test wax to see if my skin could tolerate it. It could. I've been waxing my brows as usual since (well, not quite as usual given covid, but you get the idea).
I get them waxed yesterday. And my brow person was alarmed that I had a bad reaction below my brows, almost like abrasions. Not enough to bleed but definitely removed some skin. Yikes. I've never had that happen before and she didn't do anything different. We were both stumped.
Last night, I figured it out. I *completely* forgot that my Curology formula adjusted since I last was waxed, with a higher percentage of tretinoin. OUCH.
What dumb thing have you done lately?

I told him thanks and that he's the bomb. Then I sent what I thought was a GIF of a dancing bomb. After I hit send, it played to the end and I was mortified.
The bomb danced around and then turned around, spread it's butt cheeks and farted.
My PSA is to ALWAYS make sure you watch the GIF to the end.

My dumb thing was trying to fix dh’s dumb thing. We have been redoing our kitchen cabinets - adding some trim and painting them.
Dh’s job was to add the trim and he had to add a thin sheet of wood to the middle of the cabinet so the trim detail would fit correctly. Well, Dh used a piece with a big flaw in the middle so when I went to prime it you could see the “bubble” Underneath (how did he not notice this before glueing everything down!!!!). It can’t stay that way so I started sanding it to fix it (Dh wasn’t home and I just wanted to get on with the painting) and it seemed to be going well but I took it a little too far and the wood split and created a big hole right in the middle of the cabinet and now we have an even worse mess to fix. The rest of the cabinets are up and the kitchen looks great... minus one door.

I waited a few weeks too long to get a suspicious mole checked out. Probably fear. When I finally took a picture of it and sent it to my doctor, he immediately sent a referral for me to make an appointment with the dermatologist. The appointment was 2 weeks out and I was so stressed out ~ but I didn't tell DH because I didn't want him to worry. I couldn't sleep and my blood sugar numbers were elevated.
Long story short ~ it was nothing, just age related. I could have saved myself a lot of stress by #1) emailing the doctor as soon as it started looking strange and #2) telling DH about it.
So, if you have a mole that you are worried about ~ get it checked out immediately!

I used the hydrogen peroxide solution, with the BRIGHT RED DANGER CAP, to try to put in a contact lens on Saturday.
It hurt.
(I felt a little better after calling the optometrist's office and had the tech tell me "So, the doctor says she's done that, too...")

I was in the shower, used the razor, and absentmindedly swiped my fingertip across the razor, along the edge, to clean it. It cut me very quick, so I stopped right away, but I just couldn’t believe I was so careless.

I do the birthday list for our building- probably 150+ people- and it goes out to every one via listserve. There were a lot of birthdays for the month. I sent it out on the listserve and a co-worker replied with "that's a lot of birthdays!" I just saw her name so I hit 'reply' and said "Yeah, 9 months prior must have been 'get busy with the one you love' month!" You see where this is going,,,,, it went out to the whole listserve!  One co-worker replied with HAHAHAHHAHA and OMG! That was also to everyone. I replied with 'I'm so embarrassed, that wasn't supposed to go out to everyone!' So, lesson learned. Don't reply to emails that go out via listserve! |

woke one morning a couple of days ago really early in the morning. texted what i *thought* was the guy i am seeing.
unfortunately, it was my ex-DH (who was near the top of my text list because i had texted him about our DS the day prior).
it wasn't *that* bad.... it could have been WAAAYYY.... he didn't reply. i guess he knew that couldn't possibly be for him.

I sent my daughter the confirmation email for a microphone I ordered for her.. totally forgetting I had added a sweater for her birthday to the target order!
I was so so bummed because the microphone is her big gift and she knew it.. and that it would be here a month early.. the sweater was the only surprise!

There are some reports that I must check for work. MUST CHECK. MUST. I got busy with other things and let that one slide. It cost my company some money. Boss is not happy with me.  This was Monday. The week hasn't improved that much. |
