I like the colours and designs, the little wallets are very cute. However, I don't think it's appropriate to have words on them, knives are seen by most people as a weapon and to have 'laugh' and 'brave' on them just seems really off. I never thought about this, I totally agree that the words “laugh” “smile” and “brave” are inappropriate words for knives.

I would. I carry a little folding knife in my purse. It has scissors, two little blades, a tweezer and a tiny nail file. Honestly, the scissors are my favorite part; before the pandemic, I used them all of the time.

I’ve never felt the need to carry a knife, unless it was maybe some kind of utility tool to keep in the car. So, I would not buy it.
Since I’m not a knife person, I don’t known if they would appeal to those who do carry them or not.

I probably wouldn't buy those particular knives, I'm not a big fan of "girly" tools (though I admit I don't have to worry about my husband taking my tacky flowered screwdriver). I probably WOULD buy a hiking knife that I knew was made/sold by women.

I would have no use for a purse/pocket knife. I carry a tiny pair of folding scissors and I think I have used them 2 times in 10 years.
As far as the price goes I don't think a knife being used for the things you have mentioned needs to be of top quality. A knife for the kitchen or maybe camping use should be good quality but for cutting off a tag or slicing the tape on a package that is not so important (at least to me).

We follow Gibbs' Rule 9 in our house, never go anywhere without a knife. So we all have quite a few knives of different sizes and quality, so you might say we are your target audience.
My feminist as f*ck DD (her words, she even has it on a t-shirt) would be turned off by the cutesy saying and words, as well as any pattern / color that screams girl. (She literally yells at the TV any time an ad for a product that both sexes uses but is girlied up for females comes on--like razors.)
However, a nice, unisex, well made (non plastic looking) knife is always nice to acquire. One of the things we look for is a blade that will keep an edge and not turn into a rock the first time it is used.
Our price point for a general pocket knife is around 20 to 25.
Hope this helps.

I'm a little surprised by the comments here--I get the sense that pocket knives are seen as weapons. No one I know who carries a pocket knife considers it a weapon--it is simply a tool. In the links above, small pocket knives (less than 3") are even allowed in the UK.
I borrow DH's pocket knife all the time and would absolutely carry one myself except that I travel and visit courthouses a lot and it would just end up confiscated when it got lost in the bottom of my purse. My daughters also have pocket knives.
I like the cute designs. Not big on the words. Probably wouldn't use the case, but that might be appealing for some. I would probably question the quality if it's too cutesy, but otherwise think the price point is reasonable.
Good luck!

If I were to consider purchasing something like that I would like to have something a little more utilitarian, nothing so "foo foo". I don't know how to explain it - maybe that doing what you are suggesting to the knives are devaluing them making them seem less valuable and not dangerous. A knife to me is serious business, it can hurt or cause damage. Like a any other weapon, it is not to be taken lightly. I was trying to think how to say exactly this...I like knives and like tools too...but I don't want them gussied up. I want the real deal, and these just don't seem to gives knives the respect they deserve as tools and potentially dangerous objects. I do understand the impetus behind the design, but knives are serious business.

I have a small penknife that I carry to open cut things but I wouldn't buy one of these. I like the colours but not the gemstones - makes it look like something from a scrapbook page to me!. I also don't get the relevance of the words/verses - I don't understand the link between a knive and a motivational verse. I do like the little wallets though. Sorry

I think I would buy one.. I am forever always looking for a knife for opening Amazon boxes and such and always asking DH or DS for theirs. Why shouldn't I have my own? I don't mind the words or designs.. I'm girly like that. Price point... maybe a little high but not high that I wouldn't consider it.
I would NOT carry it with me unless it stayed in the car. I cannot carry a knife around due to my job. I would totally forget it and try to go to work and get caught. (Prison life.. HAHA)...
I am forever missing scissors thanks to my family. So this would be handy around the house and I would put it in a good location but hidden so it was nearby.

I am generally put off by items intended to be functional that are given a “girlie” spin, e.g. pink tools/toolboxes. I think they’re silly and demeaning. That’s how I view this product. I have a multipurpose tool that includes a knife as well as screwdrivers, bottle opener, and corkscrew that I keep in my car glove box. I would not carry a knife in my purse because it’s extra weight I don’t need in an already too heavy bag.

I’d be more comfortable with a 20-25 price point, and I would lose the words. Pretty designs and feminine colors are great. And I like the case too. I don’t personally carry a knife, but this is something I would consider keeping in my glove compartment. My dad and brother always had a Leatherman or some tool on them when I was growing up, so it seems natural for me to have some thing like this available. But, I’m at a point in my life where I don’t want the extra weight in my purse, so it would have to stay in the car.

Well, I am in my 50's and would TOTALLY buy those! Not sure about the words on them, that's not the draw. The draw is literally a cool knife in a cool wallet that is K-U-T-E!! I work with a lot of men, and for a while it was a thing for the women to carry a pink version of the pocket knives they carried. I have lost that one, and yours would be a good replacement. I would buy multiples, one for my car, one for the kitchen, and as gifts.
Price point is a little high for me. BUT, if you played up the 'by women, for women' aspect of it and a family owned company, made in the USA, that would up the value quotient.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Taking you at your word that the knife is high quality. That said, I also dislike the words on them. I am fine with the geometric patterns, though, and I like that it comes in a carrying case.
I don’t carry a knife on me and haven’t really felt the need to — but we do use knives like these all the time at home.
This is just perception, but I think your market might be limited with this product and those that would consider it probably already have and like a men’s/unisex knife they use.

I’m generally not in favor of feminizing things that are considered man items. It turns it into a laughing matter. Like “girls tools” because we girls are stupid we need pink tools to be capable of using them. If I were carrying this knife, someone would inevitably laugh at it, then I would be forced to stab him. Them I think the laugh and love message is lost. I do carry knives because we sell knives. I use tools because I was raised to fix it myself. I’m raising a strong independent woman and a strong independent transgender young man. I despise gender assigned roles or tools or items.

I think they are nice looking knives but I would never buy one for myself or as a present. I think it’s illegal in the UK to carry a knife on your person. Yes, it is and the penalties are significant. Gov.UK The maximum penalty for an adult carrying a knife is 4 years in prison and an unlimited fine. You’ll get a prison sentence if you’re convicted of carrying a knife more than once. www.gov.uk/buying-carrying-knivesWow. I did not know that. Here, in farmland Indiana, it’s rare to find someone WITHOUT their knife.

We have several friends with boats and I can imagine needing one in a marine environment as per my boss who carried one and said how can you tell I am a sailor? I think if we still boated then I would carry. I love everything as girly as possible.

I would not purchase a knife that had the cutesy sayings on them. A knife that stays sharp and has a cover is great. Drop the girly girly stuff. The price point is a bit high for me.

As a horsey girl I always have a knife on me. They are a necessity out at the barn. I like the styles and colors but I'mnot a fan of the pithy sayings. I's buy one in a heartbeat and well as get them for my barn friends as well.

Very nice designs, good colors. However, they do not appeal to me. There is a market for them though, I'm certain.
The only thing is...my first thought when seeing "Laugh" on the knife was "let's put a smile on that face". I think I'm a little jaded.

Thank you guys SO much for your responses! I really appreciate your time! I would love to respond more—I’m subbing at one of the schools right now and have just a couple minutes on my break but tonight I’m going to spend more time going through all of these and get back with you all later tonight. Just didn’t want you to think I wasn’t grateful! Even the ones who aren’t really into them helps and I’m glad you are being honest. Thank you! You are the best!

knives are seen by most people as a weapon and to have 'laugh' and 'brave' on them just seems really off. I think this may depend heavily on where you live. A significant number of men in the south carry pocketknives and its not uncommon for a woman to carry one. I am a super small purse person so it doesn't make the cut for the very restricted number of things I consider essential in my purse. But I do keep a pocketknife in my car... comes in super handy at times. I'd buy a well-made version with attractive colors and packaging. I'm not interested in the trendy words and phrases. I could be enticed by a monogram though! (Another quintessential southern thing.) Price point seems fine for me.

I do understand the impetus behind the design, but knives are serious business. I disagree. There is no reason something can't be functional and asthetically pleasing. It's very common for knives to have interesting and intricate designs on the handles. My brother knows a guy who makes knives of all sizes where the handles are works of art. If a cutesy designs makes you take the sharp blade less seriously, maybe a knife isn't for you (general you)
