Ok, I made this card a week ago and then found an inspiration color palette to match the colors I used! Today (this week!) got away from me and I ran out of mojo to challenge myself. So I'm all about keeping it simple for Saturday. Here's a color scheme to use as a starting point: And here's my sample card using shades of pink, brown, yellow and touches of blue: CARDtober sample by jo.blackford, on Flickr Twist: use/do something related to coffee or chocolate.

That is one yummy card, joblackford ! I will try to get to this next week. Hmmmm... PINK strikes again.... Shades of pink? Like maybe dark dark pink? So dark most people would call it red? I’m OK with that! I promise I’ll have less pink in my future challenges. I was going to do this card later in the month but my afternoon crafting turned into mushroom foraging instead so I had to go with this one.

Cute, punny card, jjpeapea! Love that the star is a shaker.

Great cards, and thankfully I had papers with those colors in my stash. The Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian collection are probably the only papers in my stash that do have the right colors. It’s more of a salmon pink, but it’s pink.

Thanks for playing along jjpeapea and scrapnnana! Isn't it fun to see how different cards from the same color inspiration can look? I love the coffee bean shaker and I'm always up for a good pun. Why haven't I used that one?! And scrapnnana, I'm cool with any kind of pink. I love the blues and yellows and how they play with the pink. Glad you were both able to find papers that worked!

Lovely cards Linda and such a pretty paper. Do you feel satisfied using up the last bits of something or is it sad? I love that you used the colors in the shaker mix azcrafty. I don't make shaker cards very often so I don't have many pretty colored sprinkles. Love that die cut and the embossed steam. so fun.

Cardtober 10 by scrappy rabbit, on Flickr The lighting in my photo is bad, but in real life the colors matched fairly well to the palette! Edit to add: twist points for the chocolate candy next to the treat bag!
