For those of you who cannot get to a Tuesday Morning... EP has its fall sale. echoparkoutlet.com/warehouse-sale/collection-kits/Here you can buy many of the same kits that TM is carrying. I bought for several friends, so my price went to $5 per kit and no shipping. Just in case you were interested... -the Enabler

I took advantage earlier today, too. I bought 15 kits and one 6x6 paper pad. I also got the $5 kit price and free shipping.

Their photo sleeves are good quality and super cheap right now if you need page protectors.

I spent $88 and got 24 items ( of course, nothing I need). I had total FOMO, but it was all at good prices and free shipping.

I shouldn't have opened this thread. I shouldn't have opened this thread. I shouldn't have opened this thread.
Now I need to see how much shipping is.

I don’t need this...I don’t need this...I’ve already texted my local friend (who doesn’t need this either) to split it. 🤦🏻♀️

I had trouble sleeping night before last so I got up and checked my email and saw the sale. It was just after midnight. I saw they had the Stateside kits that are usually pricey, and they were with the $7 priced kits. I bought 3 of them because the paper is double sided and you only get one sheet of each. I have wanted that kit for awhile but never wanted to spend the money on one sheet of paper with many states I will probably never use. I would just buy the states I wanted from Scrapbook Customs.
I grabbed a few others as well and some enamel dots. I got some of the fashion and salon lines because my DGD is all about dressing up. If I hadn't gotten up at midnight I'm not sure I would have seen the sale.

Oh man! I’m so tempted. Several of the ones I want are sold out, but I can still find 10 I want.

Their shipping costs are insane. AND they charge full shipping costs to ship to an APO address. It doesn’t cost one cent more to ship to New York vs shipping it APO. I’ve emailed and they just say “it’s their policy”. Well, ok. Why support those in the military living overseas? It irritates me, so I won’t order from them. I just buy through scrapbook.com or ACOT.

I emailed twice and got a pretty curt answer the second time. It seems silly, but those little kindnesses go a long way. We’re all stuck here, not able to leave our host country for what looks like at least 18 months. Those little things are a big spirit booster. I was at the commissary last week when they wheeled out the pumpkin spice creamer to stock the cooler. We hadn’t gotten any in yet and this is the one and only shipment they will receive. Two women in the parking lot and another at the entrance told me about it. That stocker was greeted like a rockstar when he came out of the cooler! It’s the little things. Way back in 2002 when we were living in Korea, I wanted to buy a trike for DD. I emailed Kettler asking if they had any sellers in Korea. The manager emailed me back himself and said that he would personally take it to the PO and mail it to me. THAT’S service.

That’s possible. But it’s done online and takes minutes. Plus, they ship to overseas countries, so it’s likely that the customs labels are automatically generated. They told me that they charge shipping because it’s shipping outside of the continental US and that they charge for Alaska and Hawaii as well. I responded that Alaska and Hawaii’s shipping charges are more, whereas an APO address is only shipping to New York or California. That’s when the CS rep got curt and I dropped it. I’ve never had a company complain about shipping stuff to me. And I order A LOT of stuff!

But a little thing like this says “thank you for your service.” When you invited my kid to a birthday party, sat with them at lunch, talked to me at the parent meetings, take an extra minute or two to fill out a customs form... that is what we need. Just to feel part of a community. Not some oddities that are thanked and then forgotten.

I still think it is a lousy way to treat our service men and women, and their families.
