Happy Sunday, Peas! I'm back with another clean and simple sketch for you this week. Let's take a look at the sketch first, then I'll share my inspiration card. One of the things I love about sketches is that you don't have to follow them exactly. It's more about following the overall feel of the sketch. As an example, the sketch I'm sharing today is in the landscape orientation, but I created a portrait card instead. Here's my card. I knew I wanted to use these small floral and foliage images on my card, but felt they would get a bit lost on a landscape card. By turning the sketch on its side, I could use smaller pieces of cardstock for my stamping which worked perfectly with the smaller scale images I wanted to use. The twist for this challenge is to add some type of stitching. It could be a stitched die, actual stitching, or even faux stitching as I did in my inspiration card. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with using this sketch. Please share your creations below!

Great sketch, CoffeeCrafter . Love your example with the small images What is the TWIST? Oops, completely forgot to mention that part! The twist is to add some type of stitching. It could be a stitched die, actual stitching, or even faux stitching as I did in my inspiration card. I'll update my original post to add this information.

LOVE yours, Linda! Great way to mix it up with the sizes of the blocks! I have one put together for this but now have to figure out how to add stitching... Prob won't get it finished until tomorrow or Tuesday. Have a turkey to eat, soon... (Canadian Thanksgiving weekend)

Here is my Sunday Sketch card. There is faux stitching around the rectangles but it did not scan well.

Here is mine. I kept my card simple. I had these ornament ephemera pieces and I thought it would be perfect for this challenge. http://instagr.am/p/CGP7lSwJY8o How did you get that gorgeous stitching around the edge?

its a die called wonky stitching. I have one of those dies from Gina Marie. I never seem to think to use it though. I think I'm going to challenge myself to use it on a card this week. Thanks for the inspiration to pull out some of my neglected supplies!

jjpeapea, I like the way you featured 3 of the images from the background pp. azcrafty, your ornaments are really cool. On my card, I was going for the view from a 3 paned window at a snowy yard. The scalloped edge has a stitched line. triple panes by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

I took some liberties with the sketch. I turned it upside down, used larger stamped images and a shaker instead of the smaller rectangles, used banner shapes instead of rectangles, but at least the banners have stitching. My daughter-in-law loves the Harry Potter books, and I was late on getting her card made. The sentiment was done on my computer.

I had pieces left from my other challenge cards, so I used the sketch to make one last card.

Cardtober 11 by scrappy rabbit, on Flickr Not an exact replica of the sketch, but I did use the sketch to inspire this card. No stitching for me.
