I took one on Saturday since there was a free clinic right by my house. I knew work was making all the employees take a test today or tomorrow. We are doing it at work. OR if you miss it you have to use an outside facility. So I was thinking, I'll get it out of the way, have it done and over with. Won't have to deal with 700 people either. Nope, they won't accept it. No reason. Just no. OKAY fine.. then why did you say you can use an outside facility? I'm kinda pissed about it, but will do it again tomorrow. STUPID thing is, you do your OWN test in the car. You think I am going to shove that test up that far in my head? NOPE won't happen. I will stick it in there and rub it around and done. Period.
Some days I just want to scratch my head at some of the dumb rules there are.
I'm done venting and being a Karen.. I had to vent.

It does seem pointless if you have valid documentation. The way your work is handling it is just wrong.

If you look at the other side, the strictness protects you from your less conscientious colleagues. For your company it is probably a liability issue.

My sons school required a test before coming to campus - 2 weeks before
Well, that only tells you he did or didn’t have it 2 weeks ago. DUH
-they do test the waste water in all the dorms and do random testing so when your name pops up in the computer you have to go get tested. That makes some sense but the original test 2 weeks before school made no sense at all.

the thing is if someone misses these two days of testing they say 'go get it done at your provider's office or a testing facility'... so what happens if I am sick tomorrow?  I won't be but still... I am just annoyed. |
