Happy Friday or Saturday. Today I'm having my long infusion and I'm hoping that I'll feel up to working on my puzzle tonight.
Dinner is rechauffe for dh.
What's on your menu?
Please have a really fun and relaxing weekend. May everyone be able to re-charge and feel good.

Today is DH's birthday, but we are going out for dinner tomorrow, as it is never safe to rely on him being home on time on a weeknight. I spent the afternoon at afterschool care, which was fun - more of my last year's kids today and while I was waiting for them all, some who weren't staying today came up to me to say hello, and tell me they were going straight home. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time, so we weren't able to get outside for a run, which meant things were a bit loud for inside at times.
Dinner tonight is meat pie or pastie (depends a bit how thick my meat mix turns out. I also bought a couple of individual tiramisu for dessert, rather than make or buy a cake.

Hello scrapmaven. I hope you don't feel too pooped after your infusion to enjoy a bit of your Friday evening. Hugs. sueg, you can just drop the tiramisu at my back door. Well, we moved DD and she was all wired up. I know I'm a big talker when I'm manic too, but she headed out of here last night for a while and I just needed time to decompress. Jeremy did too. So we ended up staying up later than usual. Jeremy said he was going to call in sick to work today because he was up so late and starts work at 4 am. Well, he ended up going. So I'm sure he will be pooped tonight too. I slept terrible last night. So I'm sure we will both be heading to bed early tonight. I have a zoom meeting with my psychiatrist at 4 (right after work) today. No worries, I'm feeling good. This is just a follow up. And my mom will be over with a load of fresh beef. We split half a cow and my sister and her friend split the other half. So mom was picking it all up from my sis today. I am unsure what is for dinner tonight. I offered Jeremy that we could either have BLTs (he cooks) or we could have ranch chicken sandwiches (I cook). I suspect he will be tired and will opt for me to cook. But I know he'd rather eat BLTs than the chicken. We will see. The chicken should cook easily, so I'm looking forward to an easy win tonight. Jeremy and I worked hard yesterday for a couple of hours to clean house. So my house is clean now and I can spend my weekend just relaxing. There will be a lot of crochet going on. I need that recharge after a long week of work.

I took out some roast beef I had made a few weeks ago from the freezer so tonight we'll have that on buns with maybe french fries on the side.

Happy Friday everyone! A real cold front came through during the night. Yesterday the high was 93. Currently it is 55, but feels like 49 due to the 16 mph North wind. Also has been raining steadily since I got up at 7 am. I'm freezing! It will be back in the upper 70's tomorrow, but for today we have a taste of real fall/winter. Landscapers showed up at 8 am and installed the new sod in the back yard. It will like all this rain, as well as keep the mud levels down today with the dog. Looks so nice! Plants in the beds should be in next week.
Planning to take it easy this weekend and work on some needlepoint. I have a Zoom quilt guild meeting tomorrow morning. The baby quilt will be in the virtual show & tell. The speaker this month will talk about quilt photography, so I am hoping to pick up some good tips as I plan to do a photo inventory of all my quilts this winter.
Dinner tonight will involve the ground beef I have thawing. Either spaghetti sauce or chili. DD mentioned she might come over so will check and see which she prefers.

My boss is Argentinian and we are having an office get together after work for a big Argentinian grill out! I made an Argentinian dessert called Rogel Torta. He ordered me Argentinian dulce de leche from Amazon because he said it's different than the kind from Mexico to the U.S. that we can get here. We'll see if it lives up to his standards. LOL
My sister is coming to live in my town for 5 months and will be renting a room nearby. My days have been spent getting ready for that. Yesterday I pulled out my extra pair of rubber boots for her to wear while she's here. Actually I'll give her my cute red ones and I'll wear the barn muckers. I can't see her being willing to wear them. HA! We don't need them often but when we do we re so grateful to have them. I've also found her a diffuser so she can use her oils while she's here, too. Each day gets closer.

Happy Friday friends!
Dh is about to head to the ranch, he's dragging his feet a bit and I'm not sure what's up, I guess something Real Estate wise, he's had a busy week with that.
I'm going to Board and Brush with my niece, Daughter in Law and friend this evening, so we will snack there.
I've busted my butt this week work wise and am pretty well caught up, so I'm hoping to tidy up the house once DH leaves and maybe even craft for a little while. Shhhh don't tell work that I'm caught up.
I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!!

Hi! So the pie crust was kind of blah but the filling of the pot pie was delicious! Giving it another try next week with a new recipe.
Dd is doing better today. She had a zoom meet with her counselor and we had a good talk this morning where she just vented.
She has come a long way. A very long freaking way!!! She used to yell and cuss and get all kinds of angry when she would talk. Not listen.
Now? She remains calm and talks and listens.
She has also learned that she needs to word vomit in her journal before she talks.
Tonight's dinner? Fix it yo'self.

Happy Friday ladies!
After having a gorgeous 80° yesterday today it's 60° and rainy and gloomy. Friday is typically my grocery shopping day but I knew yesterday that I wasn't feeling the grocery shopping so I put in an order for pick up tonight. Dh will go with me and do the actual pick up for me and I'll just ride along.
Dd#2 had a little bit of a down day yesterday but she's better today. Dd#1 is dealing with a headache... she said it's not quite a migraine but it's close. It started last night after her soccer game. It's the first game she played the entire game so it was a lot of physical exertion for the first time in a year. She's been playing for a few months but not an entire game. She was well hydrated but for whatever reason she said as soon as the game was over, boom she had a headache. She ate, took meds, and went to bed but had trouble sleeping. Still there this morning... so more meds. And we're hoping for a short duration.
Dinner tonight is up in the air. I'm hoping for takeout. All I know is that I'm not cooking. LOL

Plants in the beds should be in next week. Sounds like a giant mess that will look beautiful when done! I hope your yard is an oasis. My sister is coming to live in my town for 5 months and will be renting a room nearby. How wonderful for the two of you! I am off today and it's suppose to rain all day. Perfect day to watch movies and relax. That's why I like a rainy day every once in a while. It's like permission to just have a down day. Shhhh don't tell work that I'm caught up. Can you come over and take on a bit of my work? Good for you.

Wow ~ that was fast! We drove up to the tent, handed the nurse our ID/Kaiser cards and she gave us the shots. Less than 5 minutes at most. They have multiple lanes, and 3 or 4 stations in each lane. Well done, Kaiser!
I forgot to tell y'all, DS's work is having a virtual wine tasting and is mailing everyone the wine! This is the same company that used to supply a keg in the lunchroom on Fridays.

Hi Everyone, scrapmaven I hope that your infusion goes well and you have energy to enjoy the rest of your day. sueg to Mr. G! jeremysgirl I hope that you get to go to bed early and enjoy your weekend. leannec I hope that you feel better soon. cadoodlebug That meme is feeling so true to me. **GypsyGirl** I hope once your yard is finished, that you love it! slicksister You are a wonderful sister. @sunnycamom I am glad that your DD is doing better with listening and communicating her feelings to you. brandy327 I hope that your DD gets rid of her headache. The Air Fryer was a hit. So tonight YDS wants to make fried chicken. I said yes, but mine needs to be just plain. Or I may go to the fish market to get more fish and do that for me. We will have asparagus, corn (not for me) and a spinach salad.

Most likely take out as it is Friday! Finally. So, I have 13 1/2 days of vacation to use before the end of the year (I started with 20). This is very difficult for me to do because NO ONE does my work if I am off. Most times it does not pay to take off as it takes 2 days to catch back up. BUT, I am going to try and take a day off each week and maybe sprinkle in another day or half day if I can. Not sure it would benefit to take 2 days off in a row. I know, what a problem. Last year I lost a few days because I just couldn't take the time off. And I tell myself every new year, start taking days early!! Maybe I will listen this next year... Happy birthday Mr G sueg!

Our weather also went from mid 80s to low 60s in 24 hours. I welcome the cooler weather. I put a pot roast in the crock pot at 6:30 a.m., so I'm anticipating the house smelling terrific when I get home from school. I love the way pot roast smells, but I'm not a big fan, so I'll make myself a sandwich this evening.
HOPEFULLY, we'll be watching the Atlanta Braves clinch their ticket to the World Series tonight.
Happy Weekend everyone.

I ate french toast and a couple sausage links this morning. My stomach is confused by the sausage, so Im going to really confuse it this evening by trying to eat White Castles and Onion Chips. If that is too much chewing, I will have mashed potatoes again.

Whenever I'd go home to visit we'd stop at the one right near the bridge to Canada and a buy a bag for our ride home.
