First of all, I am so happy to be here! I was on the original 2Peas back in the Creating Keepsakes HOF scandal days...I remember Donna Downey and Tara Whitney and Ali before she was Ali! I remember Elsie and all the other folks. Man, those were the days. My youngest was 3 months old when I started on 2Peas, and he is a 17 yr old HS senior now. My, time flies!! Anyway, I'm doing December Daily for the 11th year this year. Woo hoo!! I am going to do the 6x8 size, and usually print the overlays onto cardstock, and then add other pages and stuff in. I want to use white Bazzill Orange Peel textured paper, and found some on ACOT. Usually I buy 8.5 x 11 and cut it down, but they don't have that. They only have 12 x 12. I'm right that I can cut the 12 x 12 in 1/2, and the 6 x 8 templates will print on them, right? I mean, look, I get it. That's basic math. 12 divided by 6 is 2. So I should be able to cut the larger sheets down into two 6 x 12 pieces, and print 6 x 8 on them. That's how math works, right? But ya'll? I cannot tell you how many times I would logic out something I was going to print, only to have it show up on my printer on the wrong side of the paper, be WAY too big or WAY too small, and just pretty much never what I imagined. It's like...I can do my job as an analytics consultant, raise my kids, cook, clean, etc. But ask me to cut down a piece of cardstock to the right size? Nope. No can do. Forget it. Not happening. The odds are NEVER in my favor on that. (I can't do time zone math either, for whatever it's worth.) So. Someone confirm for me pretty please that I *can* buy the 12x12 and use that to print a 6x8 overlay?

Hi & welcome back!
Any time I'm unsure of how something will print, i print it first on cheap copy paper, then tape my piece of cardstock on top of the printed copypaper.

It looks like it wasn't named very well, so it might not have come up in your search, but we do have the 8.5x11 White/Orange Peel Bazzill available as well right here: www.acherryontop.com/shop/product/204254Maybe that will simplify things a bit for you

Assuming the cardstock measures a true 12x12, you can cut the cardstock in half to create two 6x12 pieces. Then, cut 4" off the long side of both 6x12 pieces to get two 6x8 bases. One sheet of 12x12 cardstock is more cost effective since it yields two 6x8 bases & two 4x6 scraps (than a 8.5x11 from which you get only one 6x8 base, one 0.5x11 strip, & one 5x8.5 scrap). HTH, & you enjoy the annual project this year!

It should work, but you would have to be sure to check your printer settings and print full bleed.
