Nasty cold and wet day; we'll get a big snow dump tonight. I am not a happy camper about October snow. BF is in travel mode and won't be home in time for supper, so I think I'll have rechauffe taco fixings as nachos! Best wishes to the bride and groom, desertgirl!

desertgirl what a beautiful photo! I’m glad a couple of you mentioned pork. I forgot I had a pork loin in my fridge. Being sick over a week has me off my game. Finally feeling better and started walking again yesterday. Feels good to get out and move. The only thing good about getting sick it pushed me over 50# weight loss. Tonight is leftovers. For me salmon, brown rice and some frozen veggies.

desertgirl your dd looks beautiful. What a nice looking couple. So happy for all of you. PolarGreen12 hope you find a dream job. cadoodlebug I lost one of my mom’s earrings that way. I even told myself when I put them in to watch for that and I still lost one. We had to meet the excavator at the lake today. It was a drizzly rain the whole time. Luckily I wore rain boots. Building in the side of the hill is going to be slightly tricky. It makes for a very steep hilly driveway. I grew up with that kind of driveway so it’s always been on my “not buy a house with list”. I drove off the side of the driveway so many times. Even got the car stuck on it and had to have it towed. When my dad got a new driveway about 5 years ago he had it widened so when I visited I wouldn’t drive off the side. Our front porch ends up being a balcony due to the hill which is on my house wish list. One of the last things on my list is a secret room. Home Depot sells a bookcase door. So I can incorporate that into the basement someday. leannec I hope it’s only a 2 day wait & that it’s negative. Is someone delivering stuff to you? Made roast in the crock pot with veggies.

desertgirl wow, what a gorgeous photo!! TFS. It sounds like a very special day. leannec fingers crossed that your test comes back negative. Let us know as soon as you hear. PolarGreen12 good luck to you in your job hunt. For dinner I cooked a pork fillet in my "Getting Piggy With It" spice rub. I also did loaded mashed potatoes - why don't I do them more often, they are sooooo goooood! Okay, I know why I don't do them more often...... I'd be 20kg heavier!

I am making Costco ribs, coleslaw, asparagus and some sort of pasta for me. Yay!
One day blends in with the next. We went to Costco to get stuff we needed and had fun.
There are only 3 cases on the island and we are doing great!

scrappintoee Thank you for the positive thoughts! **GypsyGirl** That story is hilarious! I ended Up making the chicken breasts in the Insta pot. Then shredding the chicken for burritos. I ended up just having the shredded chicken with salad.

A grilled chicken sandwich from Smashburger.
I ended up having my doctor appointment today instead of Monday. So we ran several errands this afternoon. Doctor's office, DH's office to pick up some things he needed to work from home, flu shots at the pharmacy, garden center to pick up some bamboo stakes, grocery curbside pickup, and lastly takeout from Smashburger on the way home.
It was the most normal day I've had since the end of February. And I enjoyed being out all afternoon.
The iron infusions did help, and I'm right on the edge of anemia - no anemia now. My doctor said that my hemoglobin and ferritin can still increase a bit from my infusions, so I get more lab tests at the end of December, and then see if I need further infusions after that.
The bamboo stakes are to support snow pea vines. I haven't grown them before but heard they grow well here in late fall.
