Has anyone used these types of mats link from Amazon for their Silhouette? I'm giving my old Silhouette machine to my 18 year old daughter and she will need some mats to get going. I'm guessing that using a non-Silhouette mat will void the warranty but I'm not too concerned about that especially since it's probably not under warranty anymore (it's pretty old). I've always used Silhouette brand mats but I'm wondering if the ones from Amazon are any good. ETA: I read the Amazon reviews and they are good but I really want the Peas' reviews because I know I will get honest feedback!

I have not tried that particular brand, but I've used these cutting mats from Amazon, and I'd give them 4.5 stars.

I have Also purchased off brand meds from Amazon. I have never had an issue with them. I took a vantage of prime day and purchased some additional sets as well.

I use the knock offs from Amazon all the time with no problems. I also use Cricut mats when I can get them on sale

I buy Nicapa mats for my Cameo on Amazon and they are an excellent product. Terrific price too! This is exactly what I use too. They've worked great and were about $13 for a 3-pack.

I just read the Amazon reviews on the Nicaea mats. Several people indicated that the quality has decreased from their previous purchases of same mats. Anyone purchased them recently ( within the last 2 or 3 months. ). Have you noticed any problems - like lack of stickiness ?

I love the NICAPA mats! What machine are you giving to your daughter? If it is the original Cameo 1 - and she uses Windows 10, she will need to update the firmware. It's an easy fix Still works fine with Windows 7 and Mac - but if you have Windows 10 and a Cameo 1, do the firmware update to keep it working. Works great with current software. If you have a software disk - toss it. Too old!

I've used Nicapa mats in my Cricut, and I have a mixed review. On the one hand, I find them just sticky enough. They hold my cardstock well - even the heavy-weight type - without being so sticky that they rip the paper. However, they are a little smaller than my Cricut mats, and I have to center them when I load them. Not too big a deal, but if you want to cut something in a precise place on your mat, it might be an issue for you. I also just had one of them crack, and that's never happened to any of my Cricut brand mats. It was only on the edge, but still.
Overall, for the price, I think they're a good deal.

Another positive review for Nicapa mats from Amazon. I NEVER buy Silhouette branded mats anymore, not when you can get 3 for the price of 1. And honestly, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference!

I buy my mats in bulk off the Cricut site. With access discount, and using one of the FB Cricut supporters discounts, when they go on sale, I can get 30 mats for around 90 bucks. I have also used the Nicaea and other off brands, and the paper studio hobby lobby ones with no problems.
