I have an older 6x8 album that I was going to use for December Daily. When I looked at it last night I noticed the top rivet on the binder spine is broken. Is there a way to fix these, I know this happens from time to time.
I can't return it because a) it is old and b) I have no idea where I bought it

I'd use super glue or maybe hot glue?

mom were you one of the people who fixed a DD album with a broken binder mechanism? Or do you remember who did? I know there has been tons of talk about it in the DD threads the past couple of years.

A small bolt pushed through from the outside and a nut tightened on the inside will fix it. You should be able to get something that's a close match in size to the original rivet.

It wasn't me. I do the 'E6000 method' and just glue it back on. No clue who used the broken binder mechanism, though I think I read about it on the AE FB page.

Thanks for the ideas. I am going to try and find a bolt that will fit. I think that will be the most permanent solution.

Most of those binders use pop rivets to hold the binder mechanism onto the cover. You can get pop rivet kits for cheap at any hardware store and they are very easy to use.
