Who signed up. I printed my labels this morning. I have 17 cards made already. I'm so inspired and ready to create.

It’s not even November. In true procrastinator style, I will start about a week before Thanksgiving (even though I’ve had my supplies for months!) and create like a madwoman to get them in the mail on December 1st. I send to everyone, plus family and friends.
I’m sure if I try really hard, I could put off starting until Black Friday just to give myself an extra thrill. 😂

I have no idea! Well, not really... I have plans to make a card that I can print this year, a flat card rather than a folded one, ideally using my own artwork or digital elements I bought a couple of years ago. Sometime very soon I'm going to work on labels and gathering postage stamps (I have a mountain) and getting my personal list in order too, so at least that's all ready to go. I need to order another box of envelopes. And then... I have to do the artistic part. Or scrap that plan and stamp something.
I basically haven't made any Christmas cards this year. I'm not sure if it's pandemic fatigue or just being too busy.
I also realized I was about to sell the bulletin board I used last year to display cards I received. Not sure if I should still do that. I have no plan for how to display them this year. I guess there's a part of my brain that doesn't believe Christmas is coming.

I have been making Christmas cards for the CARDtober challenges so it's piling up nicely. DH saw one of the cards I made and said he would like that one to be our Christmas card for this year so I have to get on that in November.
I got the mailing list this morning so ready to print(an awesome pea already made it ready for mailing labels).

I haven't even finished making my Halloween goodies for my dogs friends and the few kids we give to so nope, I'm not ready! I have to many ideas of what I'd like to do which is bad. LOL
I can't wait to start sending though, it always makes me so happy getting cards in the mail.

I only have one wall in the house with any kind of space (we have a lot of doors and windows) and it's currently covered with a framed gallery wall of family pictures, but I think I'm going to take it down for the holidays. That gives me a chance to clean all the frames anyway, and then I can do some kind of string display for the cards, and it will be a real feature in the living room without adding too much visual clutter. I get a bit overwhelmed by stuff over the holidays.

I usually make most of my Christmas cards at a crop I go to every year in mid-January. I like to enjoy the holidays so getting them done early is important to me. I also like being able to buy supplies cheap during the after Christmas sales. Plus I get inspired when I see everyone’s cards. So January it is. However, I ALWAYS forget to buy envelopes. Then I run around trying to find affordable A2 white envelopes. I can tell you scrapbook.com was sold out of them yesterday. The hunt is on 🤦🏻♀️

I finished cards to send to friends/family a couple of months ago and just made 50 more (different design) for the swap. I'd love to be able to send to everyone but international postage has gone up again - $3.50 except for Australia which is $2.70. And NZ Post has just put up rates for international parcels as well, in light of the reduced flight availability because of the pandemic.

This is my first year doing the swap. I'm excited, but I'm just in the planning stages right now. I think I will send to everyone, but I'll use a mix of homemade and store-bought cards.
My postage bill is going to be hiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh...

I have been making cards all month for CARDtober, so have a good start. My cards will not all be the same. I have been creating singletons and groups of anywhere from three to ten with the same design. Have quite a few piling up in my tub.
Bought labels yesterday so I can print the addresses. Plan to design and print an inside greeting with Word. Will add a personal note to the Peas I feel I "know".
Should I be hand signing every one? Or can I sign the inside printed panel then copy it? Is that rude?

My cards are made. I just have to print the address labels, put them on the envelopes, stuff the envelopes and add postage. I’m so excited to see what everyone has done this year.

Should I be hand signing every one? Or can I sign the inside printed panel then copy it? Is that rude? Not rude, no. Many people don't hand sign them. A few hand address the envelopes and hand write every greeting and probably regret it! It's totally fine either way. I think it's nice to add/get a handwritten note if I "know" the other person but there are some Peas on the list that I have literally never spoken to. Just getting a card is lovely, anything hand written is a bonus from my POV. I admit I am sometimes irked by family and friends not hand signing Xmas cards to us, but I wouldn't hold it against any Pea. It's a lot. Makes me glad my name is so short! Jo:)

That's where I buy my envelopes for my shop. Heavyweight, really good quality onesRecycled paper white ones, normal weightBrown bag kraft envelopes, really nice weight (in between the other two) They have lots of other options too. www.clearbags.com/stationery/envelopesI have no affiliation with them. I have bought Staples envelopes for personal use in the past but they're a little pricier. Clearbags does charge for shipping but you don't have to be a business to buy from them and if you buy in bulk the shipping doesn't hurt so much. They arrive pretty quickly and their customer service seems really good, not that I've really needed it.
