Make a card or layout for 1 point with a theme such as Disney, Harry Potter, a magician doing tricks, dragons/fairies, Halloween, or whatever is “magical” to you. 1 bonus point each for up to 3 of the following magical enhancements such as fairy dust (glitter on your layout or card), something enchanted (a rose, a genie lamp, a broom, or some other specific but recognizable magical item), and/or jewels (bling). You can claim up to 3 bonus points for the magical items. Twist for 1 additional point: use a technique that you haven’t used for more than a year. It’s been ages since I used heat embossing (used for the “Stop by for a Spell” phrase).

CARDtober 29 by scrappy rabbit, on Flickr This was so fun! I wasn't planning on making 3, but before I knew it, I wanted to use up a whole pack of unicorn stickers. One of my cards has 3 magical elements (unicorn, fairy, and mermaid), one card has two elements (unicorn and crystal ball) and the last one has just the unicorns.

Love the card, scrapnnana , and the play on words! Fun challenge. So d oes Santa Claus classify as being a magical figure? Cute cards, scrappyrabbit . Love the unicorns! Santa is part of the magic of Christmas, so I think he certainly qualifies. Or elves. Or gnomes. Whatever is magical to you can be the inspiration for your card. I’ll look forward to seeing your cards. scrappyrabbit, your unicorn cards are adorable! I’ve always had a weakness for unicorns.

Here is my card. magic of Christmas by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Santa is magical and his pack is an enchanted object. I also have some bling, so 2 bonus points there. And the old technique I used was SANDING. I wanted the BB panel to look even more like the front of an old Christmas card.

That is a beautiful Christmas card, grammadee! I love the Santa, and having the little boy beside him really adds a heart warming touch.

Used this cute digistamp freebie. Pixie dust is spectrum noir glitter pen. Old technique- used little bit of pink chalk for the cheeks - super old stampin' up chalks i haven't used for years http://instagram.com/p/CHD9T7Npawo
