Did you guys see that scrapbook.com has packs of cardstock sized for A2 cardmakers? Totally unnecessary, but quite convenient if you don't love your trimmer or you have storage issues. And the colors look quite pretty. They're available individually or in a bundle. I haven't tried them, I don't have anything to gain from linking just something I noticed this morning. www.scrapbook.com/store/sbc-paperpad-b1.html

Also, they're half price right now - $5 per pack individually. And they'd be really handy for die cutting. I might've convinced myself I need some!

I really love the colors they've put together (and the price!) but my one concern is that they're white core. I find that sometimes when I use white core cardstock for die cutting, depending on the design, it can make the edges look kind of raggedy since the white will peek through. Maybe I'm the weird one when it comes to this? (I've mostly had this experience when I cut white core cardstock with my Silhouette.)

I think even more so with machine cut stuff, because the blade sometimes drags a little. Die cutting might be better because you get that pressed down edge, but I don’t know. I added the bundle to my cart and then some inks I’ve been wanting and then I went for a walk because I needed to think about what I am excited to use and whether I really need this stuff. And then I bought a sweater online. Lol. I don’t know. I don’t really need it urgently, but it seems like a good product and half off is a nice price!

Yeah, the die cutting might be better with manual dies than a Silhouette, so if you do buy them, please let us know how they work out!

I think you had to order the bundle. The price per ½ sheet is 12¢, and you get 5 of each color. When making cards I buy 3 8½ x 12 sheets to make 2 cards and 2 envelopes. I have started to stamp my envies to tie in with the card.

OK, preliminary review time! My papers arrived, and they're so little. I knew what size they were, but I was still surprised at how little they looked when I'm used to packs of paper being 6x6 or 8.5x11. Exemplifying how random paper weights are they are 85lb 210gsm, but the lighter of my Neenah cs is 80lb 216gsm, and feels a little heavier to me. But basically, if you get Neenah 80lb to use for cardmaking, it's a similar weight, quite a bit lighter than the Bazzil sheets you buy at Joann. First thing I loved - the little plastic seal stickers on the side peel off really easily and don't leave a big gummy mess. Maybe because these papers haven't been stored for long? Or maybe the stickers are just better. Gummy packaging stickers that don't come off are a pet peeve of mine. Next thing, the colors represented on the packaging are more vibrant/truer than the actual cardstock colors. It's more noticeable with colors like reds and pinks. Some of the colors are pretty spot on, some not so much. But they are nice colors, and the range you get would seem to give you a really good chance of matching a lot of paper lines. I'll have to see how that pans out once I start using them more. Color cs by jo.blackford, on Flickr As for the white core... I haven't done much die cutting yet, but I tried it out on a navy sheet, with a die with stitching and lots of cuts. Not too bad IMO. The white core is visible but not so bad it's a deal breaker for me. It's more obvious on the back (I left some pieces upside down in the photos). Haven't tried with an electronic cutter yet. White core by jo.blackford, on Flickr White core by jo.blackford, on Flickr Embossing... very obvious white core on the front of this piece. New product by jo.blackford, on Flickr Fine on the other side (new embossing folder! smaller than I expected though): New product by jo.blackford, on Flickr So, if you just need some quick color, especially for backgrounds/card fronts or matting layers and don't want to store a bunch of letter size sheets these seem to be a decent deal. If you like your colored cardstock to have some heft and plan to do lots of embossing this might not be a good buy. Hope that helps. I'll let you know whether I'm happy or not once I find a place to store them and see how they work with my card making work flow. I think they'll be useful for one-offs, but not so much perhaps when I'm making a big batch of cards with layers.

Thanks for your review joblackford ! I think for now I'm going to pass on these but they might be something I pick up in the future. Do you have a favorite pad as far as colors go, now that you see them in real life?

Do you have a favorite pad as far as colors go, now that you see them in real life? How is the boho and floral one? Like the colors but not happy that they are white cored I'll have to play around a bit more and see how the colors look with some of my favorite patterned papers. I love collections of color, but it's a different matter once it comes to actually USING them! I'll try to make some time tomorrow.

Thanks for the review. I like white core cardstock for dry embossing, because I sand the reaised areas so that the white will show through.

Thank you for reviewing this! I really do love the colors on the pad in the top left in your photo in your first post. They remind me of the Stamp Market colors.

Like the colors and the fact that they’re already cut to A2 size. What I don’t like is the white core and that it’s a smooth finish, I prefer a textured paper. Still many try the floral pack, I do really like those colors.

I LOVE Stamp Markets colors!! So much so, that I'm doing my scrapbook room in all white with accents of their colors. They just make me happy.
