Hello. It looks like I'm posting the last CARDtober challenge for 2020! Your color scheme, should you choose to accept it is here: My sample is a two-fer because I stamped two bouquets in case of failure: CARDtober share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Are they the exact same shades? No! Did I use all of them? No! You don't have to either. Just take the inspiration scheme as a starting point and see where it takes you. I figured everyone is already moving on from Halloween and focused on Thanksgiving (if not Christmas) so I went with a gratitude theme. Experiments with stamping on patterned paper. I was really proud of myself for trying out some dies I had never opened, and for stamping my own patterned paper for the smaller card (distress oxide "grateful" repeated all over in tattered rose). The "blending" on both cards is Ella and Viv patterned paper. So, color scheme starting point is any combo of muted greens, taupe, peachy-pink, and cream/ivory shades. The twist is to try a card size/shape that's not your normal go-to, OR try a background technique you rarely do (stencil, emboss, repeat stamp, ??) I guess if you choose to do both twists you can claim them both! That's my Halloween gift to you an extra point. lol. Halloween isn't a gifting holiday

Thank you so much for being a CARDtober hostess. Here is my color challenge (sans twists...) You’re welcome! Thanks for playing along with the challenges and sharing all the pretty things. I love the colors you found for today’s card. And good thinking sneaking some foliage in there for the green.

Cardtober 31 by scrappy rabbit, on Flickr Here's mine! I couldn't decide on a sentiment, so I left it blank. My first true slimline card (I think this counts as slimline?)!

I can never decide on a sentiment! It's llama-zing Very cute! Love their googly eyes. And yes, that's definitely a slimline card from my POV. Pretty sure there's no universally agreed dimensions for slimline, but if it fits nicely in a business envelope it's a slimline. I love using that shape for line ups of repeated elements like this. There's just no comfortable way to get those guys onto an A2 card.

I have loved CARDtober. It helped keep me sane, but I am also happy that this is the last challenge. Your examples are lovely, joblackford! I actually had trouble finding papers that went with the color palette, but I got lucky at a Tuesday Morning yesterday. The color for the corner decoration didn’t photograph true, but the colors of my completed card seemed to match what I see on my screen. Close enough, anyway. I didn’t go for the twist.

The color for the corner decoration didn’t photograph true, but the colors of my completed card seemed to match what I see on my screen. Close enough, anyway. I didn’t go for the twist. No worries about exactitude, it looks like it was inspired by the scheme and that's plenty enough for me. What a lovely framing for such a pretty image. I love the oval. I forget about ovals but they're very elegant, and the corner flourishes work perfectly to highlight that. If I hadn't had the one paper I used, which was actually blue and pink as well, I don't know if I would've found too much more in my stash in those colors. It was a challenge for me to stretch beyond my usual shades. If I didn't make an effort every challenge would've had some kind of candy pink, which I know isn't everyone's favorite. Glad you found something that worked so well. And glad that these challenges helped you get through a rough month. I hope next month is a little better.

Here is mine. This was a little bit hard to make it Christmasy, but I did it!!!! You did! And made it look easy. I'm really impressed because I wouldn't look at this and think you were trying to fit a specific/non-traditional color scheme. It just looks like a lovely soft Christmas card.
