Is this a new challenge to the board? I LOVE it because I do a lot of other crafts. How fun.

Would love to see what you have created, @patter. And anyone else who is creating gifts or simply creating with yarn or felt or wood or....
The only non paper craft I have been engaged in this month is cookie baking. Probably at least a dozen hours.

I didn’t do this. But here is a canvas that did and her 7 year old created with paint, crumpled tin foil & cardboard, and some fussy cut photos.

Wow, that is really cool grammadee! Where will they hang it? And here is what I am working on. I am doing two--one in the blues, and one in greens. My bestie's daughter just had her second child. So now they have a newborn and a 2 year old. I will give them both to her, and she can choose which kiddo gets which afghan. I am about halfway done with both. As I finish a skein on one, I switch to the other afghan. That makes it fun, and they both should be done around the same time. This is mindless crochet which I love. It's how I can relax at night. The fancy patterns are fun, and I do them sometimes but for the most part, I want to do something that I don't need to read a pattern for and can just "cruise" through the crochet.

Those kids will be comfy warm, @patter. And these may become very special blankies for them. What a sweet gift.
Dd and dgs just put this canvas in the mail to Daddy who is in the military and posted to the Middle East for a year. I am thinking he will hang it in his room on the base. He loves mountain climbing and has set up a climbing wall in their basement for the little guy to practice on.

@patter I crochet during the winter. It's too hot here otherwise. I really like that pattern

I didn't make the afghans this month - just the receiving blankets that went with them. IMG_5013 by CLAUDIA LOVELESS, on Flickr

Wow!!! gramma, your craft room has been Santa's workshop! Love all the different aprons and pillows. And love to know that even YOU swear at that machine every once in awhile. You really need to clock that in your creative time!
