I have a set of BBQ tongs that I use to get things from the bottom of the washer and off the 2nd shelf in my kitchen. They work perfectly to get down a box mix, an empty water bottle, etc.

I’m going to first world whine about my new fireplace remote. We replaced our old gas log with a gas insert. It works great, except the remote is so stupid. It was obviously programmed by first graders who have never seen a fireplace. You turn it on via a touchscreen that doesn’t work very well. Then you have to go into three screens to set the flame and fan and turn off the stupid lights. Every time. Seriously, I just want to turn it on. I was perfectly happy with the little switch the old gas log had. The insert works well, but the remote annoys me every time I use it.

I live in a rural area that doesn't get cell service very well. As a result, I still have a landline with an answering machine. Lately, all calls are surveys and political calls that hang up right when it kicks in. But, my machine beeps every three seconds to let you know there is a message. I hate it! Isn't a flashing number of messages enough of a reminder?

The feature on my car to shut off when I'm sitting at a light. I can press the button to turn that feature off each time I start it up, but sometimes I'm feeling lazy.
