I waited just over 2 hours to vote early in person two weeks ago.

I’m voting tomorrow because I don’t feel like spending an entire day to early vote. At this point so many people have early voted there shouldn’t be a huge wait at the regular poll place. But we’ll see.
I thought I requested an absentee vote but I must not have because it never came.
According to my neighborhood FB group and fair amount of people on it voted by mail and went to the early voting center and voted there.

I voted by absentee ballot through the mail for the first time ever. I sent it off about two and a half weeks ago and it has been accepted.

I decided to wait and vote on my way to work tomorrow as I normally do. Lots of people took advantage of early voting so I don't expect a long line.

I am working the polls tomorrow, so will be voting first thing in the am just as polls open. It will be a LONG day, from 6am- at least 9pm, but I am glad to be healthy and less vulnerable so I can help out. My polling precinct usually has people in their 60s-80s working, so I wanted to help at least one usual poll worker not have to be there all day.

I didn’t have a mail in ballot option, yay Texas , and the only drive thru option in our area was for those with disabilities. So we went in person last week. It’s a small town so we had zero waiting, we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. Have to roll my eyes though, a couple of volunteers below the nose mask wearers, and both people that handed me my “very own stylus“ practically molested the thing by rubbing it up and down with both hands before handing it over. Gee, thanks. The cynic in me wondered if it was on purpose, the realist thinks they really are just clueless.

I will vote tomorrow. There is never a wait at my polling place on election day and I have the day off so I can vote an off peak time too.

We have always sat down together to fill out the ballots with computers to research candidates, propositions and measures before final decisions are made. Presidential, Senate and Congressional candidates are the easy part. It's wading through the 12 candidates for major and elected judges that require a bit more digging.
The first year DD voted she came along with me to hand in her own ballot and the first year DS voted he went on his own to hand it in. Now they, along with DH, leave them for me to take in.

I dropped mine in the drop box the day it got here (the 16th) and dropped off DH's last Friday. DH always waits until the last minute to fill out his ballot (and mails it the day of the election) but I was persistent that didn't happen this year. Also I checked and his horrible squiggle of a signature was accepted this time (the last election it was rejected but the election was over so he didn't fix it...) so yay!

I'll vote in person and am doing so because to me it was the easiest way to go rather than even considering all the info of this, that and the other I was getting via direct mail and local news. Plus, our absentee ballots needed to be notarized to return and I didn't want to jump through that hurdle.

I voted in person last week during early voting. There was no line. DH and DS did the same. I was surprised there was no line, but relieved too. It was quick and easy. When I got there they asked me if I wanted to vote on paper or electronic. I debated with myself which was safer (less likely to be messed with) and chose paper. With paper you fill in the small circles and then the paper is scanned. Since it's scanned it's probably half of one, 6 of another as far as safety issues go. It would have been faster to vote electronically.

WA state, all mail in (or drop at ballot box) voting, so dh and I mailed in Oct 26. They have been accepted according to the ballot tracker. DS and his GF dropped theirs at the ballot box at the library and they have been accepted.

The poll doesn’t include my method - I voted IN PERSON early. No ballot box or mailing in, but actually voting - filling in the ballot and having it scanned - exactly how it is done on Election Day. I am just curious with the statement "exactly how it is done on Election Day" Voting using a ballot box or mail in isn't voting? Seriously not being snarky and I am not political.. just wondering what you mean by that.

Voted by mail and between that and early in person voting, over 60% of my county has already voted.

No, I meant that our IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING was conducted exactly how it is done here when you in-person vote here on Election Day. There was nothing different about the process of in-person voting, even though it was more than one month before November 3. That is all that I meant. Mail-in and ballot box voting are certainly voting. I lived in Oregon after it switched to 100% mail voting and think it is an awesome system.

Voted by mail and between that and early in person voting, over 60% of my county has already voted. By last Friday, the last day for early voting here, I think almost 70% of our county had. I’d be more excited except we are about 85% registered Republicans One country had an almost 93% voting record. That’s impressive.

I am just curious with the statement "exactly how it is done on Election Day" Voting using a ballot box or mail in isn't voting? Seriously not being snarky and I am not political.. just wondering what you mean by that. When we vote on Election Day there is a scanner machine right there that the ballot is fed directly into. You fill out your ballot, slip it into this cardboard privacy folder thing and take it up to the scanner where the end of the ballot is fed into the machine that scans it and collects it. We have been voting early the last several elections but didn’t want to have to wait in a line indoors, so this year we requested absentee ballots that could be mailed in or dropped off. We filled them out at home at our leisure, put them into the required privacy envelope and identification envelopes that we had to sign and put an identifying number on (driver’s license number, state ID number or the last four of your social). This year no witness signature was needed due to Covid. We could have mailed it in (a postage paid envelope was also in included) but with all the PO shenanigans Trump and DeJoy have pulled we didn’t want to risk it not getting there. So we hand delivered our filled out and appropriately enveloped ballots to the court house which was one of six county drop off places. The guy found our names in the registered voter log, checked us off that we voted and shoved our ballots still in the ID envelopes into the slot of a secure ballot collection container. I just checked today online and it shows that my ballot had been accepted and will be counted. it took all of about ten minutes because there was one person ahead of us in our line for filled out absentee ballots. The other line for in person voting there at the court house easily had 50-75 people waiting in line to do it. We were happy to have dodged that bullet. So it’s a different process because all of those outer envelopes will have to be opened and the ballot will still have to be scanned before it is considered counted.

This is the first year I’ve ever requested a mail in ballot. I took it to the local drop box for ballots and deposited it myself.
I did not want to take any chances by waiting to vote in person this year. There are too many factors that could have interfered.

I was going to vote by dropping off my ballot. I was too worried about signature verification and did not want to deal with having to do it afterwards. So I voted on one of our cold windy days hoping less people would be there. I was in and out in about 25 minutes. I feel so bad that some people have to wait for hours, but I appreciate that they do.

Dropped our ballots off at the official box by our library. They were set up for outdoor voting over the weekend but didn't seem have many takers.

Mine was dropped off in a drop box at one of the local polling places. I’ve received a text that it’s been received and signature verified, so my vote should count!

Dropped off our ballots today. Never voted any way other than in person on Election Day before but I was supposed to be recovering from major surgery right now so we planned accordingly. I kind of missed the “excitement” of being at the poll but I doubt I’ll feel the same way tomorrow when I see the lines.
