Maybe it is the former preschool teacher in me, but I have always loved stations in a workroom. I would like to make a cutting station that would have my cricut and my cuttlebug right there, along with all the cartridges and dies. Ideally there would be punches as well, but I am not as concerned about that. I would like to invest in a nice guillotine cutter. Does anyone have a dedicated cutting station in your craft room or scrap area? How do you like it? Was there a piece of furniture that really worked well for it? I found this pic on scrapbook.com and am in love www.scrapbook.com/gallery/image/scraproom/3212919.html

I wish I did, but I don't have the space or a sturdy enough piece of furniture. I either clear off some temporary space or else I find a spot on the floor to work.
Someday...

No, but I will someday! Right now I use our DR table. When we move to a townhouse, a dedicated craft room is my non-negotiable item.

Kinda.
I have a desk with my sewing machine on it, but I also have my Big Shot on it. Inside the desk drawers are my cutting plates and shims (and sewing needles). The actual dies are stored in my closet. I can easily roll from my man desk to the other desk, and sew or die cut without having to get up.

I wish. I barely have space for my trimmer on my desk these days. The die cutter lives on a low shelf behind me and usually gets used on the floor. And I have to clear off my desk to use my electronic cutter. My space is not one to emulate! The dream would be to have a counter that runs along a wall (if I had a wall) where all those machines could live with all their accessories right by them.

I don't have a permanent one, but when I sit at my craft desk, my back is to the dining table. I use the dining table as a station for my Gemini - it's great because I don't have to get up from my chair My ideal crafting scenario would be like a big Exersaucer, where I could just turn in my seat to reach all the things.

No. I have a space for my paper trimmer behind me, but you are sure giving me some ideas. I have a couple of pieces of furniture available to me that might work.

Yes, kind of. I have three long tables in my room and at one end is a cutting station with Big Shot, Gemini Jr, the various plates and many dies. I really like it in one spot like that.

I wish!!
I would use my ZipeMate so much more if I had a dedicated space to set it up, with dies and embossing folders.
I don't have the room to do it, though.

Yes, I do. I have 3 in fact. One for my sizzix and paper cutter. One for my cricut and one for matting my photos with a large glass mat. I have a unfinished room in the basement. I have tables in the middle of the room for my work space. I have pictures on scrapbook.com. Under the same user name 0612.

My floor. My floor is my cutting station. To be fair, I don't have enough space for all of my cutting machines in one station.

I have my guillotine station, then I have the die cutting station on the other side of the room, and my dies down at the other end of the room. It's not ideal, but it helps me get my "steps" in.

Yes in my workroom. My studio is my daughter's old room. It has a very large l-shaped walk-in so I have made that my workroom. I love it! Here is a photo of part of it. It keep it on the B&W table. I have a couple of trimmers so I switch out depending on what I am trimming.

Yes. I have a decent sized loft which I use for my craft room, with a cluster of tables in the center. I keep my printer and Silhouette Cameo on a separate table, but one of the tables in the cluster is used for my Big Kick and paper trimmers. It’s convenient and makes it easier to use small moments of time to craft, since everything is set up and easily used. I also have a Scan N Cut on a table next to a wall, and a Cricut Explore. The latter is on a shelf. It is the only machine that I have to set up to use. I don’t use it as often because of that, but I can swap the Cameo for the Explore when I want to.
The downside is that when grandkids come to visit, I have to lock a lot of things in the closet, rearrange, and take some of the tables down. The grandsons bunk on the floor in sleeping bags there. After they leave, I set it all back up again. It works well for me, even if it’s a little inconvenient having to take it down for those visits.
For the first 20 years of my scrapbooking life, though, I didn’t have that luxury. I had a smaller home. I didn’t have a craft room till my kids were grown. Space and money were tight, my craft supplies and toys were fewer, but I still managed to do a lot of scrapbooking in spite of it.

I have a bar height square table ( maple legs and the top is stainless steel wrapped. It holds my vagabond as well a box with my dies. I also have tension rods between the legs. These rods hold bags of excess die cuts.My husband added a shelf across the bottom supports and the various vagabond cutting plates, etc sit down there. I prefer the taller table when using the vagabond.
Cutting board slides onto the shelf under my desk and is easy to pull out to use.

No specific product I can link to, but I have seen some people use a rolling cart that fits under their desk to hold a die cutting station. I think some are two shelves with different machines on each shelf and others may have a die cutting machine on top and a drawer below for the dies and accessories.

One day I'd like to have one. My area is very small so I use the area that I'm scrapping on.

Yes, I do. I have an old microwave table that I use. It’s nice and sturdy and a good height. My space is too smal in the Belgian house, so I just use my table. I have a bar height dining table in the center of the room that works well.

I am lucky enough to have a dedicated work room which means I have a cutting bench, a sewing table with storage and a top that holds a small ironing board together with a desk I use to do scrapping/ cards on.

Well, not exactly. I’m not really a station kinda crafter. I find that when I have to get up & go get/use something I often loose interest or focus. I’ll find another way because I’m lazy or I’ll go to get/use/do the other thing and not make it back to my desk because something else called my attention. When my stuff was stored in multiple places in my last home, I’d go to use it and then get distracted by petty unfun things like laundry or cleaning. Or on my way by someone would determine I wasn’t busy and assign me something to do and crafting would be over. So my habit became to not leave my desk so I wouldn’t appear unbusy. Now that that is not an issue anymore, but the habit seems set from the past and I want everything right there, an arms reach away. Issue is my desk is not big enough. 😉
My cameo is on a shelf with my computer. I find I use it more than I used to. I’d probably use it even more if it was wireless or worked with my phone or tablet. But it’s a chair slide away so it works.
My large diecut machine is on a wheeled cart under my desk if I need it I pull it out. My mini diecut machine is on the side of my desk I use it every day that I craft. My trimmers are also within reach.
Punches are an issue they are in another room in a closet - but thankfully not up or down a flight of stairs ( which really makes me loose focus haha ) hopefully next apartment there’ll be room to have them in the same room.

Yes. The floor. Ha.
I’m loving these rooms and ideas.
My DH wants me to move to the basement where I will have more room and could create “stations” like those mentioned above.
Our basement is finished with carpet and has a double sided gas fireplace in the center. It’s a daylight basement with a window - but it’s up high and I can’t see out. That I would miss. But I’d have a television, a couch and 2 padded rocking style chairs. I already have a big old round wood table that I have a light box on so I can photograph things I make.
The basement and the amount of room I’d have is sounding more appealing all the time!

I have this small Ikea kitchen island in the middle of my room: www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/bekvaem-kitchen-cart-birch-30240348/I put my Gemini Jr on the top with a small interdesign bin beside it for the dies that I have to put away properly, plus it holds my release paper and extra cutting plates, etc. Then I have my dies in 2 Interdesign bins on the shelf underneath. I can reach it from my desk if I swivel my chair, so its really handy.

I have my paper trimmers and Scan and Cut next to each other but putting all the tools in that area is a great idea. I’ve got some IKEA Alex drawers that I could use I think. Need to save this idea for when I set up after I move next moth.

I bought some industrial tables from Home Depot and set them up around the perimeter of my craft room. One table is the 6 foot table and I do all my inking, painting basically wet stuff there. I have those small chrome industrial racks that I got at Walmart and sit on top of the table. They hold all my inks, spinner racks, watercolors, brushes etc. There is enough room to hold my glass media mat and small media mat. My die cut table is a 4 ft industrial table from Home Depot and holds my Vagabond and two paper trays of various papers. I have another 4 ft table that forms an L shape and that is where I put all my die cuts and cards and other items together. It stays clean because the ink table is across the room. So those are my stations for work. Then I have the industrial chrome rolling racks that hold all my craft things! Hope that this makes sense!

I never use my scan n cut because I don’t have a space to use it. It remains forgotten for that reason.

I’m in the middle of a move, and my next room will have a die cut station. Specifically for my vagabond and cricut, with a magnetic board on the wall in front of it so it’s in my face! I can’t wait. I already have visions of what it will look like.
Right now my vagabond is on a stand up station, which I love...but I crafted at a sit-down station across the room. Yep I’m over the up and down. My new room main crafting station will be standing as well. Except for a comfy chair in a section of room, it will be a standing room only.

My Cameo is on a small kitchen island on wheels that has closed storage. I like having it out all the time. It’s right next to my desk so it’s convenient. I wish I had a spot to leave my Big Shot out all the time.
