Be patient, stay positive. Every vote must be counted and it will take a while. Was a calming presence. Everything a President should be.

He was just saying that they feel hopeful for the way things have been going and to be patient until all the votes have been counted, that it may not be decided until tomorrow or even later.

I think I just heard someone say trump is falsely declaring victory. I am kind of unplugged as just moved and no tv set up, so heard and lost in scrolling. NPR perhaps? Anyone hear this?

I think we likely will end up where we did in 2016 with Biden winning the popular vote, but Trump taking the electoral college and the White House again.

Twitter has put a warning on Trumps latest Tweet that he is winning bigly.

Do you mean within the state? There are 2 states that don’t give 100% of their electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote for the state, Nebraska and Maine. Interesting! How do they allocate them? Based on the percentage of overall votes? For the states that split their Electoral College votes, the winner of the popular vote gets the votes representing their two Senators. The other EC votes are allocated by the Congressional districts - so if a candidate wins 1 or more Congressional districts, he (or she) gets one vote for each district. Yes, there have been several instances where a candidate loses the national popular vote but wins the Electoral College because of the way it is divvied up. Each state gets 2 votes for their Senators and 1 vote for every Congressional Representative. Smaller states can add up quickly, because they automatically have a least 3 EC votes.

Trump is indeed claiming victory on Twitter. Barf. Of course he is, so his fans will be chomping at the bit and ready to raise hell if the votes say otherwise when all is said and done.

NE-2 has been called for Biden... that should take House of Representatives shenanigans and a tie off the table. Now it's just win or lose.

Aussie Peas, I'm looking forward to watching Planet America tonight on ABC. A lot can happen in the next 4 hours. They have been giving a great breakdown the last couple of weeks of what needs to happen for Biden to win.

Trying to keep my hopes up. I’m not at all familiar with Michigan and Wisconsin and what counties have already reported in.

It's that time. Stay up for more results or wait until I get up in the morning. Usually the cat comes to tell me it is time for bed but she has already settled down on my legs.

I feel sick. I can't believe I'm so invested in the outcome. I also can't believe that it's so close. Based on Trump's past performance, Biden should be walking it in.

I fell asleep in my chair around 9-9:30 as I am an early bird. I've just woke up and can't go back to sleep.
What in the hell is happening? I couldn't be more disappointed in my fellow Americans.

IL was blue in 2016 and now...we need more blue...more blue I was just being fliply figurative, or figuratively flip, but sure, I’ll rephrase: As is tradition and as was expected, Chicago (and Illinois) went Blue, and I’m going to bed secure in the knowledge I live in a blue, unwavy sea ... which is the color seas should be. Night, y’all. As much as a gripe about stuff in Chicago, it is often nice to live in a blue bubble where I don’t have to come across Trumpettes in real life. I can sometimes forget about the fact that we live in a crazy Trump world. I am finding myself surprised, just like 2016, that there are THIS many Americans that don’t care about other people enough to not vote for Trump.

67% counted in NV - it's tight. Biden leads by 29,226 votes.

I heard on CNN that he’s received more votes this year than he did in his first election: I am totally and completely disgusted.

I am devastated. I can’t believe this is my country. I’ve been crying off and on for the last couple hours. This is exactly how I am feeling right now. I had hope that goodness would prevail and people would do the right thing. I've lost faith. My only saving Grace is my State, AZ, is the only one that has flipped so far and has gone democrat after being solidly red except twice in its history. So I'm feeling somewhat good about the people I'm surrounded by on my state. It just shouldn't be this close. Just shouldn't.
