Another 145 000 ballots to go for Pennsylvania. I've lost track of the speed at which Pennsylvania has been counting them on average so I've no clue how long it will take to find project the winner.

If Trump loses GA, there is no path to 270 left for him. Zero. Add in PA and he's roasted done lol. If Biden wins Pa, Ga, Az, and Nv do you think Trump will still fight? Or do you think his officials will tell him to back down and bow out? If any of these is close, I'm sure he'll fight. I also said on another thread that it's expected he will not concede.

There's no way he's bowing out of this race. His broken ego can't accept defeat. Those still standing by him are probably going to be blacklisted from the traditional GOP so this, too, is the hill they'll die on.

I’m encouraged by the results but worried about violence, especially as a result of Trump’s tweets and the longer this drags on. I could only tolerate a few minutes, but last night Tucker Carlson had a guy on who claimed he was kicked out of watching the counting in Pennsylvania for trying to videotape. The right keeps claiming without evidence that there has been fraud in Philadelphia for years. All of the talk about counting only the “legal” votes worries me, too. I do find the protests for transparency ironic. www.npr.org/2020/11/05/931829801/election-dispute-increases-risk-of-political-violence-analysts-warn

I want to apologize to any one I may have offended in the past by not being more outraged by Cheeto. I think I was afraid to take a stand knowing in my household, I’d be standing alone. I absolutely voted for Biden and I’ve prayed fervently that he will win. Last night I stood up to my husband who hasn’t read the first news article (despite my vetting and fact checking) who thinks since the stock market is up, that must mean trump did something good. I don’t know if I swayed him or earned any respect but my 16 yo who heard the fight is certainly more invested in politics now. I hate what trump has done to our country. And that the rich white men like him because he keeps them rich. What happened to simple decency towards people? What happened to giving a shit about poor neighborhoods and trying to identify why crime is up in those neighborhoods? Instead of saying “oh well, he’s Black so that’s why” when we should be saying “oh well he was brought up poor and under nourished. THATS the real issue”. I’m just venting. I’m sorry. I so want to give you a hug. I'm sorry. My husband is a diehard Republican as well, and we'd be headed for divorce court for sure if he voiced such things. It must be really difficult. I can feel your pain just reading your words.

Okay, it's nearly 1am here, so I'm going to tootle off to bed. Hold the fort for a while will ya? Hoping to wake to some good news in about 6 or 7 hours. Huge props to you, the other Aussie peas, and the peas from Europe for keeping the light on for us. Rest well!

I my house I have a transgender and gay son. My husband cannot wrap his brain around it despite me explaining that we don’t need to understand it. It JUST IS. So the fight really centered on LGBTQ I sent him an article from the human rights commission which he refused to read. I said how can you claim to love me or my child if you won’t even discuss the issues with me. If you won’t learn. He then called Obama the n word which my son heard. I said now I’m out because I’m not raising my kids in a house that uses that word. Under any circumstance. He’s since apologized but I’m sick to my stomach today. He wants to claim ignorance on the issues but if my adult children do that, he gets mad. He’s allowed to be an ignorant voter but god forbid my 18 yo vote democratic because she surely doesn’t know anything. I’m still pretty upset. I knew it would come to this if i ever voiced my opinions. Afterward my son thanked me for standing up for what’s right. You are a role model for your son and he's lucky to have someone in his corner. Doing the right thing is not always easy. I hope your husband can see the light but refusing to read an article you want him to just shows how willfully ignorant he is.

I just want to wrap you in the biggest hug. I'm thrilled that your son has an advocate in you. But hate all the rest of this. Sending peace and comfort as you determine how to navigate your marriage from here. I don't know you, so at the risk of sounding arrogant and condescending...I'm so incredibly proud of you.

I’m not worried now about PA as I was yesterday. If Biden wins it, it’ll be icing on the cake. With GA, what we need now is for AZ to be called for Biden and that’s 280. I don’t know what’s going on in AZ but their numbers have been pretty much frozen since yesterday.

I do know the last batch will take a while because they have to be reviewed more heavily.

Biden visited Pennsylvania 14 times, more than any battleground state. It looks like it's paying off...

I don’t know what’s going on in AZ but their numbers have been pretty much frozen since yesterday. And they still have the largest amount of ballots to get through (over 300 000)... I do know the last batch will take a while because they have to be reviewed more heavily. Why do I have a feeling I'm going to be up until 4AM again?

I think my family are losing patience with me - they can’t understand why I’m so invested in this. On the other hand, I can’t understand anyone NOT being invested in this! To me, it’s the ultimate ‘Good over evil’!

Just a (very happy) reminder.
All four Biden paths are still open.
253 + GA 16 + AZ 11 = 280 253 + GA 16 + NV 6 = 275 253 + PA 20 = 273 253 + AZ 11 + NV 6 = 270
And Trump paths are rapidly closing:
214 + AK 3 + PA 20 + AZ 11 + GA 16 + NV 6= 270 214 + AK 3 + PA 20 + AZ 11 + GA 16 + NC 15 = 279

More secret service have been sent to Joe’s house and the airspace above his house is now a no-fly zone. As is the convention center where he’s supposed to speak later today.

On a different note, the political colours in the US are such a mindfuck for quite a few foreigners. In many countries, red is associated with the left and blue with the right, particularly the conservative right. My brain is still seeing the US map at times as dominated by the Communist Party.

This was just on CNN, a reporter had asked Biden if he was the polar opposite of trump. Joe crossed himself and said, "I sure hope so." Gave me chills. We (the country) needs this right now.

I worry for him and Kamala. So many guns circulating in the US and incitement to violence from the current president himself...

They don't seem to think what they are saying most of the time.

To me, it’s the ultimate ‘Good over evil’! Books will be written about these days. Theatres will host plays reenacting these moments. Come on. This is historical. (Basically, your family is wrong. )

Not so much now but earlier in the whole American election thing it took me a while to get used to the colours being the opposite way around 😊
