Stacey Abrams lost the governorship but won the presidency. Oh, no! I missed that with all that was going on. What a loss. She ran for governor in Georgia in 2018 but lost the race. She refocused her efforts on getting people, specifically POC to register to vote and show up at the polls.

I’m not going to be surprised if there is an assassination attempt. Especially give Trumps rhetoric. It’s going to be dangerous for Biden/Harris and for election officials Every president elected in a year ending in 0 since Lincoln has had an assassination attempt made. Obviously, not all where successful and I imagine the Secret Service will be extra heavy and extra vigilant for Biden should he win. Everyone knows what kind of crazy Trump supporters are. But I thought they were so afraid of a woman President ? That’s what assassinating Biden if he wins presidency would produce. But then many of the idiots do not have much cognitive thinking ability and won’t be able to process that out to the conclusion before acting

A bit of a set back but hold the faith! Actually, it's not a setback! This morning's votes from Maricopa, came back 53% Trump. He needs 59% to overtake Biden. Yesterday's ballots he was getting 59%. So going from 59 down to 53% is GOOD NEWS for an eventual Biden victory.

FoxNews is saying that THOUSANDS of overseas military ballots still need to be counted. I hope they are wrong because doesn’t the military tend to lean red? Dh and I were part of the large groups of National Security Leaders for Biden (over 700 signatures, many retired military leaders) and Military Families for Biden. Trump’s true disdain for the military and putting active duty troops in more danger by his policies with countries around the world have not gone unnoticed. While the military usually votes red, I posted a few weeks ago stats from military times.com showing that Biden actually had more support than Trump. From your group’s mouth to God’s G-d’s ear. It’s been fascinating to learn that so many people credit Trump for no wars; somebody here even mentioned it as her husband’s single vote issue. I think he would go to war in a blustery, pugnacious second - for all the wrong reasons - and then grumble behind the scenes that the military wasn’t acting like they’re portrayed in Hollywood movies. But yeah, his “non-war” actions disqualify him. Here’s hoping the rank and file agree.

My heartfelt thanks to the international peas for your enduring support and posts that have buoyed us American peas throughout this nail-biting experience. I don't want to speak in the name of all the international Peas but from a personal point of view, I appreciate the American Peas letting me/us partake and sharing their patriotism. I'm guessing the Trump voters would not have welcome such international interference. Thank you as well for patiently explaining certain aspects and technicalities that have been hard to understand from the outside. I totally agree.

But ... but ... mail-in ballots ... Arizona should stop counting NOW! Why isn’t he typing that in CAPS on his Twitter account?! Such irony!

Excuse the question because I'm sure it's been covered, but if something untoward did happen to Joe Biden, would Kamala Harris assume the role? Is that how it works? Yes, Vice President takes over if the President cannot.

So going from 59 down to 53% is GOOD NEWS for an eventual Biden victory. But the number of votes between them has shrunk though by 3.430. It's going the wrong way with still 1,420 ballots left to count. That number was just breaking news ( it's 4.55pm here)

This is my 5th US Presidential Election with NSBR, starting with Kerry v Bush.
I too am humbled by the amount of attention and support the international peas have shown us during this election.
I think it should be a message to our Trump supporting peas just how awful a president Trump has been. He has been such a disaster to the USA’s reputation on an international stage - doing anything BUT making America great again - that a number of people around the world are as invested in this election as we are for the first time in my lifetime.

It's bad-but-actually-not-that-bad-news. He's gaining but not enough percentage-wise to overtake him with the amount of ballots left. He now needs 63% of ballots in his favour to overtake Biden. He needed only 59% last night.

Yes, Vice President takes over if the President cannot. Would that happen before inauguration in January too? Sorry for all the questions Yes. There is also some thought that he might resign before January 20 if it is clear he lost, leaving Pence to pardon him for any Federal-level wrongdoing he has committed. (Pence can’t pardon him for state-level criminal activity)

Sorry for all the questions Don’t worry about asking questions, I just won’t be able to answer anything too complicated! Yes, I believe if and when Biden is certified President Elect and something happens Harris would take over. Who takes over for Prime Minister in your country?

I have butterflies in my stomach and I feel sick. The only person that I have ever hated more than Trump is my ex! Go Biden Go! nah, I hate Trump way more than my Ex. By quite a lot. I actually don’t hate my Ex. Weird I know. me, too. I actually feel sorry for him and am very disappointed in him more than "hate". That being said, if not for other reasons, we would have been toast "after trump" if we hadn't been already been apart. I don't understand the lack of empathy for people trump is okay with attacking and hurting regardless if I know them or if they are part of me and mine. But considering my children, one enby/part of the LBGTQ+community and the other on the spectrum/Asperger's, I wouldn't be able to look past the support of trump who is willing to let harm come to them, hell he assists in it. ((hugs)) to you julie5 Thank you for standing up in front of your child. Good luck in the path ahead and where you take it. I can feel your pain.
