When Georgia says thousands of military postal votes could still be counted, as long as they have a postmark of 3 November and arrive by the end of Friday.
What time is the end of Friday? Either close of business (5 PM), or midnight - not sure how they define it for these purposes. Usually the midnight definition is end of day (EOD). Edited to add: I was assuming 5, but some government offices close at 4:30, so I would also assume the business hour definition is based on the normal business operations hours on a regular day.

What time is the end of Friday? It's also they "why" some states couldn't begin to count some classifications of ballots until a certain time based on their state statute.

Ya know, as tough as this is, I do find myself actually inspired by the power of our process across 50 "united states." Pretty incredible if you think about all the checks and balances from point a to b and we are watching it actually work as designed.
Also inspired by a point made on Fox no less reviewing the lawsuits thus far and the courts shutting them down one by one given the requirements of evidence over allegation.
Edited to add: Also saw Karl Rove actually beginning to distance himself from the POTUS as well as the Fox vernacular has seemed to really turn toward talking about Senate etc.
I think everyone knows EXCEPT for Trump.

Barry Richard, Bush attorney in Florida in 2000, also putting down the procedural lawsuits that have failed and citing the new batch of cases are over fraud, but that the attorneys bringing the suit to the court have to bring two key points ... A. evidence fraud actually occurred and B. the ballots in question would actually be enough to overturn the results.

and when people were upset/cried and feared for their lives when trump won over HRC, jr mocked them for being snowflakes and handling the loss badly. Fuq him and his bigger, angrier, gun toting snowflakes willing to hurt others if their cult leader loses. I guess he thinks acting like a$$holes and threatening violence is "tough" and not a "snowflake". News flash. It is. Just of the gun toting a$$hole variety. Yeah one of the announcers was expressing kindness towards Trump's supporters as they need to begin to accept the loss, etc. Who was being kind to us four years ago? Many of us were shocked for weeks and months and all I recall was being told to get over it.

According to the BBC quoting from the NYT As Team Trump prepares to launch a slew of legal challenges to election results, they are expected to name David Bossie, the president's 2016 deputy campaign manager, to lead the fight, NBC and the New York Times report.
Bossie is a seasoned hand at political fighting. Since 2000, he has been president of the lobby group Citizens United. Under his watch, that conservative group secured a landmark Supreme Court ruling granting corporations the same free-speech rights as individuals - and saying these right could be exercised through political donations.

I believe this was A Late Show (Steven Colbert's) opening. It has been updated, but the characters and setting are all the same. This is awesome! Yes, it is from the Stephen Colbert show. He had a different one that played before the election. It was awesome too!

So that indicates to me, that the pathway they will take is challenging the variance of states in accepting ballots beyond 7 p.m. November 3. That's going to one hefty lift in my mind constitutionally.

I literally fell asleep in my seat 7 hours ago and dragged myself off to bed. So excited to wake up to PA news! And am I right that we have the Senate as well? LOL, I love that you said "am I right that WE have the senate" !! Yep. Because the whole world has been affected by him being president! And 'we' being all sane, rational, compassionate people the world over who want a better deal for the US. And let's face it - I've been watching this religiously and it's definitely become personal!

I really think that it was Roy Blunt, as I mentioned upthread. They talked about it on CNN right before the question was asked. And all on CNN discussed how noteworthy it was that he came out and publicly chastised Trump. Mitt Romney is the only sitting GOP senator who has consistently criticized Trump and taken grief about it for years, so that wouldn’t have been a surprise. Blunt is an institutionalist and Chairman of the Rules Committee. It makes sense it was him.

Breaking: the SC asks that all Pennsylvania counties count ballots received after Nov. 3rd at 8 PM separately. This is considered a defeat for Republicans who wanted the SC to halt all counting in the state. Alito decided on the matter.
ETA: Alito merely confirmed Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar's instructions on the matter.

Ok, so I'm connecting some dots here of my day and what I'm seeing as I almost throw up watching Tucker Carlson (ass). I spent the morning supporting one of the leaders in my org who took the chairmanship of a statewide association today and the keynote was a political columnist (Democrat background). One of the audience questions that the columnist answered was the urban vs. rural election results we see right now and what that means for the future of the main party strategies. Fascinating because his key points were: 1. It's not a great long-term strategy to rely on a rural electorate to maintain its conservative nature as the US becomes more and more urban (either by population or by the changing nature of business empowered by the internet). 2. It's also not a great long-term strategy to not embrace diversity and the support thereof as the political tide of the will of the people clearly support.
Carlson, tonight, was still playing that old playbook.
Soooo my point. Keep going. Keep pushing for what is right, because while not a "blue wave" mandate per se, there are very clear implications the outcome of this election is in fact indicating a rather systemic political shift in this country. All politics cycles as it has over and over and over in our history.

Good googa, Trump's latest tweet about how Biden shouldn't claim the office of the presidency. "I could make that claim, too"
Hey POTUS, um, you actually DID in error.

There’s an app called Front Pages that you can pull front pages of newspapers from around the world. I’m pulling some for my project life pages-but they are interesting to look at even if you don’t scrapbook them.

Seems to me it might be beneficial for them to count the vote. Upholding the counting process would make them win time. The game is to make it difficult for States to meet the safe harbor deadline which would invalidate the people's vote. Any issues with the count has to be resolved by December 8. This ticking clock problematic was already at the centre of the 2000 election in Florida if you remember.

do you have a link for that timing that I can be checking myself? Worldwide media got a first alert for 8PM local time earlier in the day (as reported by two French newspapers of record). The extra 1 to 2h is a recent change mentioned live on the NBC News stream. I wish I had a go-to link to check, too! I'm not sure I can make it much longer tonight, alas.

Maricopa County: Alex Jones, conspiracy theorist extraordinaire, has arrived at the election department right in front of the doors where the counts are being tallied. The protestors are chanting "USA! USA!" now.
