Sorry. I didn't mean to be insulting to your knowledge. I misread your citing of Knowledge Fight. My bad as I have multiple tabs open here and three news channels pinging back and forth. I know, I'm a sick individual over this watching this stuff, but I can't help but compare and contrast between right and left leaning news channels right now. No problem! I was genuinely recommending the podcast in case anyone had very niche tastes like me. Alright, m'darlings. I'm bowing out. My eyes are just struggling to stay open. My SO has been fast asleep on the sofa since 1AM (and it's past 3 now, eep). Time to brush the teeth and accept that I'll be watching Harris and Biden on reply tomorrow instead! Don't storm the parliament without me, pretty please. Never. Arm and arm sister!

Can I just post something here that I do not want to post on FB yet?
Look biyach, the votes you are telling us not to count as they came in “late” are the votes of people who are defending my country right now. So STFU and let their ballots be counted. You will be dragged out of the bunker by them soon. So please ...

The three-day rule of postmark is nothing new at all and it just pisses me off that I get called a "sheep" over COVID, but peeps spew that BS on their social media. Why I've never voted down a tax increase for education because this is what happens when we cheap out over it.

I just got a news alert from a St. Louis news station on my phone. It is about Missouri Republicans and their response to Trump. One, a former Republican senator (John Danforth), has said, "by alleging widespread fraud, President Trump's purpose is to undermine American's belief in the legitimacy of the election and therefore in the foundation of our democracy. He is causing incalculable damage to our country." Roy Blunt, one of our current senators (both MO senators are Republican) seems to be supporting Trump. I wish more would come out with statements like Danforth--current senators. At some point, they have to jump ship and stop kissing his butt. Right??? Just wanted to clarify that I can totally see how you thought Blunt's continue to count the votes message was a support of Trump to buy time, but his further point was to Trump that you can't say stop in one state, while arguing to continue in others.

I don’t care who they vote for. Their vote needs to be counted. He needs to shut up with his whining.

I would pay big money to see that!! Good googa. I'll be terribly interested to watch McConnell commentary over the next several weeks because he's on record supporting a peaceful transition of power and is also an institutionalist.

And that's precisely what they'll do. Newsweek: If Donald Trump Refuses to Leave the White House, Secret Service Will Escort Him Out link(Snippets) "The Secret Service would escort him off, they would treat him like any old man who'd wandered on the property," one former official involved in the transition process between former President Barack Obama and Trump told Newsweek. And whether or not Trump actually attends the Inauguration Day ceremony is irrelevant to the actual transfer of authority—in which Trump would also lose privileged modes of transportation such as the presidential Air Force One and his iconic, fortified limousine, the Beast. "As of noon of January 2021 the Beast doesn't belong to him, AF1 doesn't belong to him, and the White House doesn't belong to him," former U.S. Navy intelligence and counter-terrorism specialist Malcolm Nance told Newsweek. Trump also loses his commander-in-chief status, meaning the Pentagon cannot and will not come to his aid should Biden be sworn in.

Just a note here over John Danforth. He has a degree in law AND divinity and is an ordained Episcopal priest. If you've never read his book, Faith and Politics, I highly suggest it especially if you identify now as a moderate Republican.

So exciting to see the power of the people come back into exercising the right no matter what it takes. I'm with you I hope it sticks. It's the only way the ones that get in office WILL do their jobs better.

Question: With the "Biden is going to speak" thing being delayed, does anyone think the Trump/Biden campaigns have been in communication and each know concession is inevitable but the delay is convincing the POTUS to do it??
I have a spidey sense that may be the case.

Dh and I were just saying that we wouldn’t put it past the Trumps to arm Don Jr and Eric with baseball bats to take out as much of the historical portions of the White House as possible - including things like the past administrations’ china - before he is dragged out kicking and screaming. I hope that the Secret Service will be en guard to prevent the Trumps from attempting to literally burn the White House to the ground.

I went back to my app and now can't find the story I quoted. Perhaps I took what Blunt said wrong. I thought he said that he thought Trump should pursue recounts and lawsuits. But again, I could be wrong. If he is not supporting Trump right now, that will redeem him in my mind. LOL
Has anyone seen anything from Missouri's other senator, Josh Hawley? I have not. But I think they all need to come out and denounce Trump and his crazy shit right now. He truly is damaging our country, and I wish more of his supporters could see that. Not holding my breath waiting, though.

You mean like Graham was on record vehemently stating that he would never support appointing a Supreme Court Justice in the year leading up to an election? McConnell has even less integrity than Graham. 🤮

Biden’s lead is down a bit in Arizona...crossing fingers. Yes, I noticed. I’ve been tracking the decline. 47,052 43,779 39,400 Now, 29,861 But even if Biden ends up losing AZ, as long as he gets PA, he wins. If he gets GA and NV, he wins. Trump is the one in serious trouble. He has to get ALL of these: PA, GA and AZ.

Not true about Blunt supporting Trump: www.kmbc.com/article/national-updates-and-results-presidential-race-and-us-voting/34561805www.kmbc.com/article/not-how-the-system-works-missouri-senator-roy-blunt-says-vote-counts-should-continue-donald-trump/34601315He has been clear that he thinks that the vote counting should continue across the board. CNN talking heads spent a good portion of time this afternoon talking about how surprised they were at Blunt’s contradicting Trump’s wishes. Thanks for those links, Elaine. I turned off CNN for the afternoon because I just needed a break. I listened to music and cleaned/organized all the drawers in my kitchen. LOL I have a bad attitude about my state sometimes. We re elected our governor Tuesday, and I am not happy about that either.

It truly feels like fighting for the soul of our nation. Blunt did the right thing today, even/especially because McConnell wouldn’t.

I hope stuff is locked up and there is a running inventory of items in the White House including the personal residence.
