I still have some left from last year I've never used or given away. For those unfamiliar with the throws, in my opinion they are more of a large, thin lap throw. I have found the throws from Costco & Sams are heavier and larger, great for wrapping around you or using on a bed or couch. To be honest, the throws from Kohl's are all being used for pets. . I have them on furniture for my dogs and I've given them to my DD and sister at Christmas for their cats. They are highly rated by all 4-legged recipients.

This is the one thing I bought on the recommendation of the peas that I did not like. It's a thin blanket and it doesn't keep you warm. The only good thing is the patterns are super cute. I bought five of them and was disappointed in all five. You get a much better deal for $15 from TJ Maxx and $10 from Sam's Club. I would not use mine to replace the blankets on my bed, especially in the winter, but I like them as an extra layer. I especially like to take one with me when I travel because it's no big loss if I forget it or damage it.

I always keep one in the back of the SUV during the winter, in case we need a blanket if we get stranded, etc. I also take a couple when we travel (that seems so long ago), because they are light, yet substantial enough to add extra warmth in hotel rooms - I’m always cold in hotel rooms at night. We prefer to keep the room cold for sleeping and snuggle under blankets. They are NOT heavy sherpa-lined type throws. They are definitely lighter weight, which suits our purposes.

I’m going to take my chances, since I don’t need any for specific gifts, and wait til 11/11 since the Free Shipping starts then. Don’t feel like going to the store for pickup or paying for shipping.

Oh yes, in my list of places I keep these blankets I forgot to list the car. lol. And traveling. And I do use them on the bed even in the winter because I like the softness up against my face. We have another large blanket for the bed, although that one is light-weight too. I like the Kohl's ones for wrapping around my face. lol

Bummed that hardly any prints are in stock at my local Kohl’s. I don’t need $75 worth of blankets for the free shipping.😉

I am thoroughly enjoying a thread where we disagree about Kohl’s blankets. Where the stakes are not frighteningly high and lives don’t hang in the balance. And where we’ll all still love each other afterward. It feels so normal.

Oh, and a pillow.

Woohoo!! Just ordered 16 of them! lol I do every year. My teens actually look forward to them so much. I always give them out as gifts to family too. The older, ratty ones become the dog's blankets. Lucky dog! Why do they need a new one every year? Do they not hold up? They definitely hold up. They are in our washer often. They look forward to new ones and at $7.99ea, its an easy gift to buy.

AmeliaBloomer great description - Chicago warm vs LA warm! I gave in and bought five on sale a few weeks ago. My parents had a need, and I was afraid the colors I wanted will run out. Oh well.

Thank you for the reminder. I bought some year before last for many of my family members and they all love them and still tell me how soft they are. I love mine that I use on my bed at times if I want a little more warmth or sitting at my desk when its snowing and the house feels a bit chilly. But...! This post resulted in me spending a whole lot of other money on other things besides a few throws. ha! Got quite a few gifts marked off my list.

I don’t get why peas need to buy them every year. Do they fall apart? I gave a few to friends a couple of years ago, but I wouldn’t give them the same gift again. Do you repeat gifts?

I like having multiples of them around. That way I can have one on my chair and one in the wash, one on top of my bed to keep the dog hair off of my comforter (it’s easier to wash and dry), DD has one in her room on her bed and one in the family room. DH is the outlier who only has one but he is usually too hot for a blanket most of the time. We also have a bunch of them at our lake cabin. We wash them all the time and they hold up just fine, it’s just nice to have extras.

Blankets are one of those things I can't have enough of. But I do live in a northern climate where it is sometimes cold AF. And they have different patterns every year, and it's fun to get a new pattern... I've spent $8 on things way more useless than a blanket.

Plus I love to donate to animal shelters.
