I used to love the craft ink made by Stampin' Up! At one time they carried two kinds of ink: craft and classic. Craft ink was supposed to last longer without fading, and was most suitable for scrapbooking.
When the company discontinued craft ink, customers were encouraged to stock up on re-inkers so we'd have our favorite colors and ink on hand for years to come.
I discovered recently that one of my craft ink pads was dry. I pulled out my re-inker and it has separated. Shaking doesn't help; the bottom layer is thick like jelly and won't re-mix.
Any advice? I am so annoyed.

I've got a lot of $$$ invested in these stamp pads/inks. My Color Box and Staz On ink pads are older than my SU! pads, and they're still fresh and juicy as the day I bought them. I'm so disappointed.

I think the reinkers are in plastic bottles? What if you “massaged” them a bit to warm up the contents and then try shaking?

I just buy new ink pads. Reinking has always been very messy, and never seems to work for me, and ends up as another conversation topic with laundry lady.

I love the Stampin’ Up! ink colors that coordinate with their paper. That’s why I bought the re-inkers - so in spite of this ink being discontinued I could continue using the type and colors of ink I love. Now I feel like I’ve been cheated. I hate that feeling. $$$$ straight to the landfill.

I would be irritated too. Did you try contacting Stampin’ Up?

Before tossing I would pop the top off and try adding glycerin. Start with a drop or two and stir well.

I would be irritated too. Did you try contacting Stampin’ Up? Yes. The company rep just said too bad, they were a discontinued product (no duh - that's why I ordered them all in the first place).

I bought a couple way back in the day. They were for Marvy ink pads and worked really well. Those are long gone and since then I just by new pads when I need them. I always keep an extra black ink pad when I think my ink may be getting low.
