Their Christmas adverts are always beautifully thought out and this is no exception. A message everyone could take on board during these time especially.

Sweet. I wondered if there was going to be an ad this year.
Dh saw what he thought was the John Lewis ad a few days ago, but it was the alternative John Lewis ad and it was really sad. Just warning anyone who seeks it out.

Is it the one with the man and the dog? Maybe my heart has turned to stone, but I thought it was stupid, and it certainly didn't move me to tears like the article warned.  |

Yup- heart of stone missus, lol. At least it’s raising money for covid causes. The John Lewis one left me cold really . I wondered how they were going to approach it this year. It would probably have jarred if it had been too lavish and I think they've done a great job of scaling it back and focusing on a lovely simple message  |

The John Lewis one left me cold really . I thought I was going to be the only dissenter. I must be feeling particularly narky today. The John Lewis one did nothing for me but, surprisingly, I really liked the MacDonalds one. |
