I am currently using my kids’ old beats wireless headphones when working out. It is fine, but the padding on one ear is falling apart and if I want to walk while wearing a hat it can be awkward.
I’m a little hesitant to get ear pods because I’m afraid I will lose them but maybe I will be more mindful of putting them away properly than I think. I also have small ears.
Does anyone have ear pods or headphones that they love that work well for small ears? Thanks!

I recently got the AirPods Pro and I love them! The sound is awesome and I love not having a wire in my way. I also like that they're easy to charge in the case without having to plug it in. You can get 1 hour of listening with 5 minutes of charging in the case.

I have Apple airpods and small ears and found a hack that modified them with tape. It worked a little but they still fell out often. On Prime day I bought myself a pair of Powerbeats Pro and i absolutely them. Pros: They have over the ear hooks and never, ever fall out. They came with different tips so you can change out for comfort. ETA. They are also sweat/water resistant. They have volume controls and hangup button ON the buds. The battery life is a gazillion times better. Cons are the case is huge, ok not so big but at least 4 times bigger than the airpods. Also for me it was a learning curve how to seat the buds in the case to recharge them.

I’m afraid I have to say AirPods if they are in your budget. I always thought it would be lunacy to spend that much, but since I started working at home all day, I bought them for conference calls to drown out the background noise of my DH on HIS calls or the cats running around. My DH borrowed them for a walk and he called me and it was just like he was in the next room. Usually, I could always tell when he was outside because of the wind noise. So we’re getting another pair.
They do come with an additional 2 sets of the cushiony things that go in your ears, one smaller and one larger. And I’m pretty sure you can return them after trying them out.

" I absolutely love my AirPods. If you have an iPhone, it is so simple to use. If you have an Android, they are also very simple to pair. I haven't lost mine, and I am going on almost a year. I have become very mindful of where I put them. When I say I haven't lost them - I have misplaced them a few times. I love them so much, that I am much more mindful about where I put them and I always put them in the same spot. If you are apple, you can track them via "Find My" app - but they have to be out of the case and charged. It will show you the last location you had them, but if they are out of the case and charged, you can even have them play a tone so you can find them easier.

I like my Powerbeats Pro for working out. No wires and very comfortable but they're more secure on my ears while exercising than AirPods Pro, which are my preferred choice for conference calls, etc.

I have small ears. Even my kids airpods, both regular and pro, do not fit comfortable in my ear.
I have Aftershokz for my jogging/running. I love them. They sit in front of your ear. And I can still hear my surroundings, which I love cause I jog outside.

Amazon had AirPods last week for $99 and i bought a pair. They aren’t the most comfortable with my small ears, but they’re fine for an hour or so.
You can set them so that they shut off if one falls out of your ear. So you would notice if the sounds abruptly ends. I hear that the Pros are better with small ears, but still not great. With the price drop, I just decided to go with the “cheap” ones.
I did some research with other brands, but it seems that the sound isn’t as good as the AirPods, or they are a lot more expensive. One pair was pretty highly rated, but was close to $300. Maybe Bose? Sony? I wouldn’t use them enough to justify that price.

I resisted air pods - but I finally got the air pod pros (with my monogram on them so my kids don’t take them) and I love them!!

I bought Air Pods for my 15yo when Sams had them on sale for $100 a week or so ago...then bought a pair for myself. I've been using mine and really like them. After the first afternoon wearing them my ear was a little sore, but I haven't had that issue since.
I do like the idea of the Powerbeats Pro--my favorite earphones ever were wired sports ones with over the ear hooks and I was so sad when they stopped working. I loved being able to hook them over my ear so I could hear both what I was listening to and whatever else was going on in the same room (especially at a scrapbooking retreat!) Maybe I'll keep an eye on the Powerbeats Pro for the future.

My daughter has small ears and airpods and no problems. I got airpods for Christmas in 2018 and LOVED them, but it turned into a love/hate relationship - after about 9 months, my left airpod sporadically wouldn't charge; I'd follow the instructions apple would send me and it would work, and then stop; finally apple sent me a new one. About 6 months later, the right one wouldn't charge; I took it into Apple and they said it was the case and that I could buy a replacement one for $59. That pissed me off, so I went back to what I'd been using before the airpods which was a pair of TaoTechtronic bluetooth ear pods that were already about 2 years old - they have a wire between the 2, and I kind of like that because I can take them out of my ears and dangle around my neck. They came with different size ear wings for different size ears. I think they were about $25 and are still going strong.
My son has had his airpods since 2018 and no issues; my daughter has had the same issue with 1 side not charging, but so far the apple workarounds have worked.
I now have a (free) pair of airpod pros, and again, the love/hate - when they work, they are fantastic! But, I've had some issues with pairing which is annoying. I'll deal with it since they were free, but given the cost of airpods, and the fact that we have had issues with 3 out of 4 pairs in our family, I haven't been impressed with their reliability.

I can’t wear apple ear buds or air pods, the shape simply does not work for my ears. After much research I bought a pair of Mifo wireless ear buds in the spring. I feeling love them!! The sound is great, they have one of the longest battery life out of all of the wireless ear buds, and they come with seven (I think?) different shapes and sized silicone covers so you can find what fits you best. I’ve done gardening and run a solid 5k while wearing them and they didn’t slip or fall out even once.

I have teeny tiny ears and have never found Apple earbuds to fit comfortably and actually make my ears hurt 😏. I bought a set of Powerbeats during quarantine and love them. They have the adjustable tips and fit great with the smallest size. I like the over the ear design so I can workout with them too. I actually opted for the version where the two are connected behind the neck (but are wireless to my phone). I was worried about losing one and when I walk I like to leave one out so I can hear cars and people around me. It is also helpful when I am wearing them at home and my kids interrupt me, I can pop one out and not worry about setting it down and forgetting where I left it. Some of the best money spent during quarantine.

I have tiny ears. I had AirPods but just couldn’t wear them for long periods. Got the AirPod Pros and they are much better with the smallest silicone tip. Not great - like they start to hurt after a couple hours of zoom meeting - but they work perfectly for a workout or a little YouTube watching in public. Great sound and they integrate so seamlessly with Apple devices.

Thanks, everyone. I forgot to come back to this thread. My kids have air pods so I should try them. I don't know if they are in budget right now but am looking for Christmas gift ideas.
My kids also had beats studio wireless (what I'm using now) and didn't think the quality was that great in regards to longevity. They have each gotten one or two new pairs with the warranty and they have all had problems of some kind within the warranty period, either with sound. Not charging, or the cushion falling apart. I finally just gave up trying to exchange them even though we were still in the warranty for the replacement pair. So I'm a little hesitant to get more but might if that is what will work with my ears. Maybe they have improved. Will look at the other options.

My dh got the android version of apple airpods and hates them.
He also has bluetooth headphones and loves those. They are starting to wear down so for Christmas he is getting the Sony wireless headphones from Costco.
