I joined one of the Christmas card swaps on the NSBR forum and that has really gotten me back in the mood to make cards. I haven’t crafted in many years and I had enough left in my stash where I only had to buy a small number of blanks cards to start off with. I ordered a set from Amazon but really wasn’t happy with the quality. If you start from a pre-made card/envelope, where to you get the best quality ones?
Also, bonus for telling me a good source for holiday printed paper? When I scrapped / made cards before, there were a ton of scrapbook stores near me. Now there is nothing but the big box stores.
Thanks!

I make my own card fronts using Neenah solar white cardstock, but I have bought nice quality ones in the past from clearbags.com, which is also where I get my envelopes in bulk. I added all the links to this post 2peasrefugees.boards.net/post/3143743/threadPatterned paper? scrapbook.com like 6x6 or 6x8 pads for cardmaking. Welcome back to cardmaking!

I buy the card/envelope packages from Michaels as that is what I am limited to here locally. I havent had any issues with them. I do usually have a card front added on. I dont usually make the card directly on the card.

I’m going to second joblackfords Clear Bags recommendation. I ordered from them this year and their envelope quality, price, shipping speed, & customer service are terrific! They have a nice variety of sizes in cards & envelopes.

I.’m pretty sure you have already made your holiday cards by now, but since the thread has been brought to the top, I’ll chime in.
I usually make my own card fronts from good card stock and scrapbook paper from my stash, but I have also bought some from Michaels that I really like. It’s been awhile (one or more years at the very least), but they had holiday card fronts at one point. I got a Christmas plaid card front from them that I wish I’d bought more of, although I think it was a slightly larger size, and had matching envelopes.
I have also found some at Tuesday Morning, but I haven’t shopped there for awhile.

I usually make my own card bases from 110-120 pound cardstock. I still have some pre-made bases and envelopes that I bought in Michael's years ago, and I sometimes use them for simple cards. I haven't found any card/envelope sets that I really like, so I will check out the ones that previous posters have recommended. Thanks!
