It’s no secret Sanders has been pushing to be Biden’s Labor Secretary and Warren has on a couple of occasions said she would like to be the Treasury Secretary.
According to this guy, Biden is singling he has others in mind. So this guy has decided Biden will govern from the “extreme center”.
What’s the extreme center? Is there such a place?
But my real question is..
Should either be in Biden’s Cabinet or they would be more useful in the Senate?
And this guy brought up a good point, especially since the Democrats lost seats in the House.

It is up to Biden to decide. If he doesn’t want one or both of them, or would prefer others in those positions, that is up to him.

No. They are needed in the Senate.

This was completely predictably when the Democrats failed to pick up enough seats in the Senate for a majority. The only ones with a prayer of being picked would be those with Democratic governors or a quick special election and a high level of confidence that the seat would stay blue.

I think it’s better for Biden to be moderate AND keep these two in the Senate.

I think that he has to protect the senate. I wish they could be a part of his cabinet. I hope Biden will at least make a place for the progressive voices in the party.

I would be OK with progressive Democrats in the cabinet. However, in my opinion, Biden needs to be selective and not choose Senators with a risk of losing the seat. I would even be OK with him choosing a moderate Republican somewhere in his cabinet especially one that has spoken out against Trump and especially if there’s a chance of gaining a Senate seat. I think whoever Biden chooses should be someone that he can work with and hopefully, Biden will get a broad range of perspectives.

I hate that they wouldn't be rewarded for their efforts to get Biden elected. But the Senate. Too important to lose. Too bad we can't just give them a cash reward for their efforts. Like several million. It would be worth it. And most definitely no R in those spots to try to make peace. They could still be rewarded by writing the legislation that the Biden Administration would signal they would sign. I don't know where people get the idea that if they aren't in the cabinet they are being shut out. Congress is still an important part of how our government is supposed to function. They can still be consulted, and I'm sure they can recommend names that would promote the same agenda as they do, without all the taint that their names carry. Personally, the more anonymous the Cabinet is to regular Americans, the probably more likely they will actually get stuff done. The GOP would like nothing better than to beat the drum of Bernie & Liz's socialist, and liberal agenda! As long as when the people are named, Sanders and Warren can give a thumb's up, it will be good. Otherwise, this seems like it's another round of the circular firing squad on the Left. Given this source is Democratic Socialist, it's no wonder they are angsty about anything that's not.

Their Senate seats are too important for now! There will be time.
