I've seen various dates for when it would have been held: CHA MEGA 2021 Jan 18-21; or Feb 1-5 The official site says virtual in March: Creativation+ March 15-19, 2021Virtual Event But also has dates in Feb: In September 2020, AFCI announced that Creativation, AFCI's annual conference and tradeshow for the creative industries, will look quite different in 2021. We are transitioning to a completely virtual event to ensure the safety of our members, attendees, exhibitors and staff. creativeindustries.org/Creativation/Introducing-CreativationCreativation+, the virutal conference and tradeshow for the creative industries, will take place on February 1-5, 2021.creativeindustries.org/CreativationIf it's going to be virtual, you'd think they'd find a way to somehow open it up to us plebs (for a fee of course). Since so many have always tried to go to the real ones, this might be a way to make more money and encourage more participation if they have some sessions just for the non-buyers to attend. Anyone have any inside info?

No inside info whatsoever but I don't get the secrecy of the February event since going virtual means there won't be any vlogs for the peasants. Let us in, let us see!

I think it would make sense to let the LSS's and other buyers have first dibs in February, and then hold a public event in March. That way all the wholesale prices and discount deals can benefit our local merchants. Maybe they can post pre-order lists like they did last year so they have an idea of what is popular with their customers.
If it is open to the public at the same time as the retailers, then people will by pass their stores and order directly on line, which would drive even more of the smaller places out of business.

Sorry for the delay, I just saw this now. They are going virtual and have joined up with NAMTA March 15-19 and is quite expensive (199 US for members and 599 for non members) as well as class fees for any classes taken. I'll be honest - we are likely not participating as most companies are doing their own version and right now, our calendars are full beyond belief from January through the end of March trying to keep up with all of the virtual events. We did have to prioritize and based on the price and lack of organization, this one is at the bottom of the list. To add to my honesty, it has always been a pet peeve for store owners to allow in anyone other than store owners as we spend a ton of money to go there, educate ourselves and buy the products to bring into our stores. I completely understand everyone's excitement and wanting to go (I definitely did before I owned a store) but for us, we are doing business 24-7 and it is frustrating trying to get that work done in amongst those that are there for fun.
