Here is a Jennifer Mcquire tutorial. I keep telling myself I am done making cards, but this has my fingers twitching. Have you tried this/

I don’t need to make anymore cards either but I want to try this. I have an old pad of light colored glitter paper I’m willing to experiment with. Now to convince myself I don’t need any of those dies she used.

I have a ton of Krazy Kreations stickers and kits and glitter paper. They teach a Facebook live on how to use alcohol markers on glitter paper.

I love how Jennifer’s cards turned out. I definitely want to try this. I just need to find light color glitter paper.

I have to try this. I think I have a couple die sets that would work.

Remember, justjac, when Debbie(?) at the reunion was colouring stamped--or maybe outline sticker--images on glitter paper with alcohol markers? I swore I would try that then, and quickly forgot after I was home again. I picked up a couple of sheets of glitter paper last week, so hoping to give Jennifer's technique a try when I have time to play again (need to get my gifts wrapped and into the mail, my tree up & it and the livingroom/kitchen dressed up for Christmas first). Don't have the fancy bellows thing, but I have a straw I can blow through to spread the ink.

I tried it and didn’t like the way it turned out, nothing like it looks in the video. Maybe it was the glitter paper I used because even with a ton of blending solution the inks just didn’t blend well at all.

Well that is disappointing, lindas. Which colours and what brand of alcohol ink did you use? Pretty sure the blending solution has to go on first, but I am never sure how much. I am always drowning water colour paper when I want to blend oxides or paints.

I gave this a try the other day, and then today figured out how to use the results on a couple of cards. I cut the partial circles on the card fronts by folding the card over an aluminum shim, then placing the whole thing hanging off the end of my cutting plates in the Vagabond. alcohol ink on glitter pp by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

grammadee I love the purple sky is so pretty. The cards are very cute 😍 The colours change with the light. They both have purple in them, but the one side of the photo tends to highlight the pinks and the other card--more in shadow, I guess--seems to highlight the blues. It IS more blue, but still purple...

And here is one more with a framed scene die. another alcohol ink on glitter by Gramma Dee, on Flickr the process is messy, so I suggest colouring a whole 12 x 12 sheet of glitter pp, then cutting it as needed later.

Those look great! I tried it on glitter paper and some matte silver I have a bunch of. I wasnt thrilled, but I did it late at night and I need to try again. The glitter one I used with a crystal die I have from Spellbinders, I'll have to figure out how to post a pic. (I'm too braindead to figure it out now)
