I got a few years ago some stitch dies and felt from PTI (paper trey ink) I have to say I really like them.(am finally getting time to make them) Is there any where to get good, wool felt like it? I tried some felt with the dies from Hobby Lobby yesterday and it just didn't cut the same. The wool felt from PTI cut perfectly. Does anyone know maybe a store from Etsy that has comparable felt?
Also I really like the stitch dies (am making ornaments) but PTI doesn't really do things I like anymore and the sets I do want are "sold out". I'm not really sure what happened to PTI a few years ago except the original owner sold it off and it's not been the same. (although I remember her customer service wasn't stellar but I loved their designs and launches)
I'm looking for more Christmas ornaments dies I can ornaments with.

A lot of people like Benzie Designs for felt. I don’t have any experience with them. I buy from The Felt Pod, I have been very happy with their felt and their service. As far as dies, I know Simon Says Stamp has some. But, ever since anniefb turned me on to mmmcrafts.com and Larissa’s ornament patterns, I have been hooked. She makes printable patterns you use with wash away stabilizer. Sounds much more complicated than it is! You can search the hashtag #mmmcrafts on Instagram and see lots of felt color combinations. |

Taylored Expressions has the same kind of felt as PTI-at least very similar. If you follow poshtadesigns on Instagram, she just released an ornament stitching kit-she restocked it yesterday (not sure if it’s sold out yet or not again). I got the kit when it first released and loved it. The felt is excellent and I bought some extra colors from her shop as well. Poshta Designs is Lizzie Jones who sort of took over the stitching die scene at PTI when Erin Lincoln stepped down. ETA: poshtadesign.com/collections/kits |

Thank you for pointing in the right direction. I've got an old silver tinsel tree that I love. I'm trying to make felt ornaments for it. I love the Poshta designs ornaments, wish she had more than just the one set.

I also bought the Poshta Designs kit and love it! I picked up some extra felt on Saturday. I have bought from Benzie Designs and they have shipped very quickly to me. I am making the Nutcrackers that they released. Benzie Designs also had some stitching dies with Neat and Tangled. I found them on the Benzie Designs website. Jennifer McGuire has some video tutorials on YouTube using just regular paper dies that she used felt with instead of paper. What I need help with is finding those seed beads. I have tons of sequins but where are you getting the seed beads? I have had good luck at Hobby Lobby for beads. I prefer the 11/0 size for my projects. |
