I think I’m going towards doing a project life style book for 2021 and wanted to stock up on a few must have items. I current sub to Elles Studio but what else would be good to have on hand? Please link fav products or subs!

I use a ton of labels. I really like the old Kelly purkey ones so I’m no help. The Elle studio ones are great too. I just got the Kellie stamps Bolton numbers and love the size for title cards kelliestamps.bigcartel.com/product/clear-bolton-numbersI also use my tiny attacher a ton. I also like just everyday life stamps. My favorite are again Kellie stamps, paper person and Felicity Jane. I don’t use a ton of product for mine. And a photo printer helps a ton.

Definitely a good printer, as most of the cards that I like are just downloadable files and not actual printed cards, like the stuff at Creative Bubble. Alphabet stickers and word stickers like this from Ali Edwards are staples for me. I also like a little bit of bling so I use a lot of Nuvo drops, little epoxy dots, and glued-on sequins to embellish my pocket cards too.

What I use a lot of -Becky Higgins Project Life Metal Dies set -Becky Higgins Project Life grid cards, those are hard to find, but maybe the peas know of another source -Mini alpha stickers -6x6 paper pads with smaller patterns sometimes work better -planner stamps or smaller sized stamps work great for the smaller sizes of 4x6 and 3x4, same thing with smaller metal dies. -Project Life cards I frequently alter -Stickers that come in collections. Sometimes I don't have much to say, so I decorate a journal card. Same with diecuts. -Small arrow dies. I adhere them to the outside of the page protector. Good for pointing to the photo the journaling is about rather than writing top photo, bottom photo... -Roller date stamp What I have been wanting to get but keep forgetting is a label and stamp die set.
ETA: I know there are other manufacturers who have pocket dies; Sizzix is one. I don't own a great printer and tend to forget things I have on my computer as part of my supplies. There are a lot of great printables out there.

Did it take forever to get the stamps from Australia? Are you in the US? I am concerned with the international delays.

The last time I did Pocket Pages I used Project Life. Oh gosh I have lots from the PL Brand, WRMK, CTMH, Scrapbook.com house brand, American Crafts and other random companies. I love them and kinda hoard them. I find them to be all interchangeable in my 3 ring binders. I also store them in 2 empty albums.

I'll try a bit of everything then to see which layouts I like best.

All the PL ones that I had started to yellow over the years, the other brands are find so far.

I find the PL branded pocket pages have slightly wrong sizes - like, I always have to trim the photo for the third pocket in because it's not a true 3x4 - it's very annoying. I've found other brands to be better - for instance, scrapbook.com's brand is fine.
I bought a large pack of colourful Sharpies for journalling - I also use them to write on photos - I love them.
I also really like the Ranger Archival inks for stamping on photos - I have the mini ones. Ali Edward's inks are good, too.

The last time I did Pocket Pages I used Project Life. When I did 12x12 size I used WRMK as their pocket sizes are closest to true that I have found. This year (2020) I used 6x8 book and then I used Ali Edwards as her pockets are also true to size.

I love having sequence and a fuse tool so I can add shaker pockets. It's one thing I really missed when I went (mostly) digital for my PL album in 20218. The thin foam tape from scrapbook.com is nice if you want a little dimension on things. I'm always on the lookout for small alphas, chipboard, and puffy stickers. I do all my journaling typed & often pick-up digital journaling cards. I like the-lilypad.com, Ali Edwards, and In a Creative Bubble for those.

I do all my journaling typed In what way? With a word program? Typewriter? Photoshop? I'd like to do it this way when I have more to write.

I keep eyeing Ali's books, but I just can't switch to the smaller size yet! I have 5 kids, so our books are FULL! Maybe one day as they leave the nest. I have three kids and I switched to 12x12 when my oldest two children were slowing down in activities. My life is very random and that's what I like about pocket pages. It can be first day of school and a new meal we tried on the same page. I organize my family album loosely by month. I don't worry about filling one or two albums per year. If there isn't much to document, sometimes one to two years are in one album. I just put the month and year begin and end date on the spine of the album.

I do all my journaling typed In what way? With a word program? Typewriter? Photoshop? I'd like to do it this way when I have more to write. I do it all in photoshop. I do all my planning on a 12x24 canvas using 2 templets (usually design A PL style) so I can see the whole thing. I layout which photos I want where (although sometimes that does change after I print) and pull in whatever digital journaling cards I want to use, type and then print. I leave white spaces where I want my physical cards to go on the templet. Sometimes I know exactly what physical products I want to use and sometimes I just wing it. But I always use a few physical cards as either filler cards or to back smaller photos. My favorite time saver is to use the "Print to Pocket" actions from Theresa Moxley. They are magic. theresamoxley.com/print-to-pocket-actions/ After I run the action, I typically print myself but will occasionally save and send it off to Persnickety Prints.
