Our smart plug is suddenly unresponsive. Looked at the smart plug reviews and lots of people posting the same thing today. Is your plug working?

NO!!! First the one that controls DH's nightstands light conked out earlier this week. Then mine conked out tonight. WTH is going on? Alexa is working but the plugs are unresponsive. So annoying.

I have an Alexa wall clock. I don't know why DH thought I needed one but when you set an Alexa timer it lights up to let you know how much time is left, and it has Mickey Mouse on it, otherwise it's just a clock.
Anyway, Alexa is not working today and neither is my clock, DH has been trying to fix it all day and Alexa keeps saying it doesn't exist. Maybe Alexa drank too much while getting ready for Thanksgiving...

Amazon Web Services have been down, taking down a lot of Alexa services, and web sites all across the internet, including services we use for work. Led to a really long day, and I'm probably going to have to work Friday to get caught up  |

Well that explains why my Christmas lights flashed on and off the then the plug just wouldn’t respond. Gahhh freaked me right out my whole yard light up then went dark randomly haha.

Hmmm, Alexa was not able to play my Sirius XM for several hours this afternoon. I could get answers to basic questions but she kept telling me she was having trouble when I’d request a channel. Then in late afternoon it worked again. Glad to know it might not have been a problem on my end.

That probably explains the spinning blue circle of death on my Echo Dot yesterday and earlier today. Just tried it again and it's finally working. Even offered me fall and Thanksgiving decor ideas when I asked for the temperature!

We haven’t had issues with our various Alexas today - maybe it has to do with what coast you are on/what server your Alexa is connected to. |

I was having a devil of a time trying to set a timer earlier today when I was baking pies. At one point she denied having a timer set when I had set one. Liar.  They seem to be working now because I just used her to turn off several lights we have on smart plugs. And now I want a Mickey Alexa clock thanks to this thread.  |

We were trying to play holiday music on ours today, and it would only play one song and quit. Our smart plugs are working though (for now...)
