Two acquaintances of mine- Gohagen Alexander Design Den- Naka specializes in jewelry, weddings, design services, special events, etc. She's a great designer and seamstress! Binky the Mermaid- Kamiesha and her daughter wrote the book and designed the doll. They have books signings and readings sometimes, too. |

If you are a knitter/crocheter this is the most amazing yarn company: Neighborhood Fiber Company. They are based in Baltimore in a converted fire station. Awesome place with a mission to give back to the community. And the yarn is super-lovely! |

Awesome place with a mission to give back to the community. And the yarn is super-lovely! I love them. My favorite Carpenter created their signage. He is amazing. Another great way to support Black people is using Black owned service providers I.e . Lawn company, contractors, HVAC repair, carpenters etc. I’d be more than happy to help a pea make the switch to black service providers. Just lmk! Thank you to everyone who shopped with black owned businesses on Black Friday. I can’t wait to hear what you think of your purchases. |

Just ordered Binky the Mermaid doll for my daughter. Who since she was a little girl swears she’s a mermaid. She’s 40 and still claims she’s a mermaid.
