I just finished Season 2 and had lots of moments of ? Not sure I enjoyed it as much as Season 1. And I agree, Hope is extremely annoying, although it could be a tie with Charmaine and Lizzy!

I am currently watching Season 2. Is it me or has the acting gotten worse in this season? The scenes with Paige and her abusive husband were oddly bad. And when Mel was surprised by the drug seeker - her reaction when the guy first came in was weird too. I want to like this show, but it just feels that no one is into their part this time.
Oh, and I agree the Charmaine character is sickeningly clingy. I cringe as she is giving Jack the 3rd degree about everything having to do with Mel. I couldn't be around these characters in my real life. Someone would be getting smacked and told to grow up.

I started season 1 this morning, and in season 2 now. I haven’t read the books, but I’m really enjoying the series.

I haven't started season 2 yet but I really enjoyed Season 1. Hope was super annoying but she did keep the plot moving along.

Question for those who have watched Virgin River and Hart of Dixie: is it the same show or different enough to watch?
I started VR and got 1/2 way through the first episode and stopped because it seemed like a copy, down to the same actor playing the doctor.

I didn’t realize S2 dropped. I liked S1.
I think VR and HoD are different enough to watch. I feel like HoD is “lighter”

Love this show! I discovered session 2 this week and was thrilled. Yes, Hope drives me nuts. So does Charmaine, she needs to come to terms that Jack is not for her. I really like Jack, but there are some things that bother me about him.

I love the show but dang that Hope character gets on my last nerve!! We really liked season 1 but she almost ruined it for me. Putting season 2 on our list.

Virgin River doesn’t do it for me - I don’t think they’re the same, even though it could sound like they are.

HoD didn't catch my attention, but I love Virgin River. I think it's the scenery. I don't even care that much about the storyline, i just absolutely love all the nature. It's beautiful.

I watch Virgin River because I read the books maybe a decade ago. I also love the scenery.
Heart of Dixie was a much more fun series while VR is much darker and more drama. I know there was the same drama in the books but think it was lighter than the series. Hope, Charmain and a Lizzy bug me to I think it was easier to skip over them in the books. Don’t remember the whining but that could be the actress’s portrayal with her tone vs in my head but it’s been a while since I read them. I only have a few more episodes left to watch.

I just started it today. It's better than I expected. A little cliche but I'm sticking with it.

I got sucked into this and liked season 1 but was disappointed in season 2. Charmaine drove me nuts let him go already girl. I’ve got the first book on my kindle.

HOD to me was way more fun and silly. I mean the gal doctor runs around in shorts and high heels.. But it is fun to watch. It’s also got a very southern theme to it... a character named Lemonade for instance.
So i like both series for different reasons.
Hope still drives me bonkers though. 🤣🤣

Hope drives me crazy too. I think it’s because her facial expressions are so animated. She reminds me of not particularly good actors live on stage.

I am watching season 2 of Virgin River. I watched Heart of Dixie after season 1 of VR but didn't care much for it. So far I like season 2 of VR. Doubt that I will ever finish H of D, it is too silly. Don't know if silly is the right word but...yeah, that's the right word.

But it’s fun and escape and sometimes that’s what I want from my entertainment It’s a nice mindless show to wash away a tough day.

I love this show. It's light and exactly what I need right now. I started reading the books right after the first season. The books I can only take in small doses.

Once I have burned through EVERYTHING I want to watch, I might watch 2. Maybe it's just me but I cannot stand the sappy hallmark type movies and shows.

I finished season 2 last night, and loved it. Looking forward to another season hopefully. It was a good mindless way to spend the weekend watching tv while hanging out at home. It was nice that I didn’t have to always be paying close attention, and could still follow along. Sometimes I watch shows that I have to pay close attention to, and I feel like I can’t do anything else or I’ll miss the details.

I finished it too. So guess it will be another year before it is on again (if on again)...
@scrappingmom3 I think you are totally on point.. animated moves...over the top. I guess I have never watched any of her stuff when she was younger so I can't compare how her acting was back then.

Hope drives me crazy too. I think it’s because her facial expressions are so animated. She reminds me of not particularly good actors live on stage. I can see that, but she reminds me of an old family friend we once knew. Like they could be twins. I think it really is just her, not her acting.

Like a lot of series on Netflix, the second season shows aren’t quite as good as the first. I haven’t decided on this one yet.

I'm only on episode 2 of season 2. I'm having many issues with the Paige storyline. I'm trying to put it aside but it's super annoying.
But as always, it's a really pretty show. I want to visit the set locations!

I just started season 2 episode 1 and I’m already over her. She’s so annoying. Hope too (like seriously you women get over some of your crap) Season 1 was good but I’m hoping S2 isn’t disappointing. 🤦🏽♀️

I just finished season 2. Call me crazy, but Hope doesn't bother me that much. I think she reminds me of a few people I know IRL, so some of her quirks are a little more endearing.
Charmaine is super whiny and annoying and I think Connie is OTT with the self-righteousness.
