In the past I have had a pretty large Christmas stash and the past few years I have tried not to buy anything new so I could use up some of what I had. While I was doing a 2019 Christmas page today I realized that I have used up a good bit of my stash. Yay! So, I thought, “let’s buy something new”. Then, I remembered that I had caved last time I ordered from Scrapbook.com and actually bought some Christmas stuff! Now, to the challenge part, I bought the 6x6 paper pad, the 12 inch element sticker sheet, and solids paper pack from Carta Bella’s Merry Christmas line from last year. I think I’m going to challenge myself to only use those supplies for my Christmas pages this year. I have SG’s sketches for 6x6 pads so that will make only using 6x6 paper easier. I’m excited! I think having less to choose from will make the scrapping process quicker and easier. Have any of you set any challenges for yourself concerning December and holiday pages?

I think that's a great idea, cannmom ! I have those SG sketches too, and want to do exactly what you said with the sketches to see how far I can get (and if I can kill the paper pad). I don't have any Christmas paper pads, but my goal with December/holiday photos this year, is to actually scrapbook some. For some reason, my photo taking really tanks this time of year. I have been doing my COVID journaling on pocket cards, so I think I want to transition my pandemic scrapping into a PL style album for next year. My challenge is to take some Christmas photos this year, do some journaling and be set up so it transitions nicely into January.

I didn’t get any of DH, DS, and me during Thanksgiving this year. Just one food photo and one photo of our cat looking in longingly through the door because he wanted turkey. Lol! I’m going to try better for December. I have already taken one photo today. DH was headed out to ride his bike and he had his bicycle themed ugly Christmas sweater jersey on. I made him let me get a photo. Good luck with your December photos.

I think I might be done making cards for the year, but this thread inspired me to sort out my xmas box. It'll be next for the great re-org!

my goal is to make cards from my scraps and less loved leftovers (looks at my full Christmas drawer) and make space for the TWO collections I picked up on sale from EP.

I bought a couple of things from a couple of very different in style and colour collections so my goal is to use up some of the pieces in my PL album as well as my JYC album so I can justify buying more things next year.
I love the idea of just picking a small group of things and working from them. I make homemade kits for my Dec documenting and find it helps me just get things done.

I completed my challenge of making all my 2Ps Christmas cards using my stash. That felt awesome!
Now I need to go thru the paper that is left and purge.
