This is a timely thread! I've started looking at Christmas Pinterest boards this weekend and created a new one myself. I already had a board for gift wrapping ideas. Last year I did sort of a beach thing too. Might do it again this year. I have about a half a billion shells and whatnot because I am like a magpie and can't help but bring home shells and whatever every time I go to the beach. My crazy cat, the one that weighs as much as a small car, thinks he can climb the tree and I don't want him to knock all my good ornaments off the tree while he is ponderously attempting to pull his rather weighty self to the top of the tree. Anyway, last year, I decided that I wasn't going to even bother pulling out the good stuff and took a bunch of sea glass and shells and glued/wrapped raffia around them and hung them on the tree. It actually looked pretty when it was done. AND I didn't car when the raccoon sized cat knocked stuff off the tree.  |
