My least favorite is when I get a layout just how I want it and then LATER find a piece of ephemera that I wanted to include in the layout - tickets, email, hand-drawn picture, etc.

Photos.
Including but not limited to: -taking them (remembering to) -editing them -printing them
Nobody revoke my scrapbookers card, okay? 😬
Once I have photos printed, I am one happy scrapper and ready to go!

When my cat jumps up on the table and plops herself right down in the middle of my scrapbook stuff. She acts as if that stuff is placed there for her to lay on. Then she acts all indignant and put out when I remove her. Sometimes she even has the nerve to meow or hiss at me, when I scold her.

Buying boring supplies. Albums, page protectors, adhesive, trimmer blades.
They are so expensive and I just think about all the pretty paper & embellishments I could buy instead.

Journalling! But not because I don't like it - because I LOVE it (the act of writing and having it there to read later) I am a TOTAL perfectionist about it and that can throw me off! I often put it off for weeks or months because I'm stressed about getting it right! Working on remedying that at the moment, but that's the truth right now! You don’t happen to live near Mooresville, NC and would be willing to take my jumbled thoughts and turn them into journaling would you? I’d pay!

Yes! I made the process somewhat better by printing at home. Still don’t like photo editing, but love printing at home. This changed my whole flow when I started doing it about 5 years ago (selphy). No more trying to figure out what to send to Costco/Walgreens, etc. Just scrap what I want, when I want, in the size I want (have to use my other printer for >4x6) Yes, it costs a bit more per print, but it's so worth it to be able to scrap on the fly. And I don't really buy a lot of the supplies (define 'a lot' ) so I feel like I can spend more per print to scrap in a way that works for my style/time. Absolutely, it works for me. I’m only printing the photos I know I’m going to use and I love the ease of printing and immediately making a layout.

They do get rather perturbed at being asked to move. I usually keep the door shut and they have a sixth sense for when it’s open. If I leave and come back one of them has usually made themselves at home.

I’m only printing the photos I know I’m going to use Before I did print at home only, I would either take an hour or more to go through pics and upload the ones I wanted to a website for printing OR I would just upload/print whole folders of pics at 4x6 because i didn't want to take the time to go through them. When I figured out how much time and some money I was wasting on uploading and printing whole folders of photos to be printed and then not using them (in the latter case) OR how much time it saved me to not have to pick only certain photos and plan sizes ahead (in the former case), it made me move to printing at home. At 0.29/print it's about double what it costs at Costco/Walgreens - BUT I throw nothing away. And I often print 2 3x4 on a single 4x6 and I don't have to know ahead of time what size I'll use for what picture. If that would work for some peas, I highly recommend it.

Finding a movie or show to watch. I like having something dark and quiet playing and it takes way too long to find something.

Choosing photos, editing photos and printing photos. I prefer to just journal.

Also the photo process for me, the choosing, editing and printing or uploading to print. Once I have all the photos I can go full steam ahead! I've been struggling with photos lately because I've taken so many of the same types of photos during the lockdown I feel like my project life layouts and regular layouts will be so repetitive.
