I never understood the gypsy or why people think it makes it easier to use the cricut. I loved mine because it made everything so easy to place on a screen or use multiple pieces of papers and cuts in one shot. You could see exactly how it would look and it could weld. Now the new program online does it for you.

I have the Quickutz Squeeze, the red Sizzix machine, the Sizzix Sidekick, the Big Shot and the Cricut Expression (together with SCAL2 software), and a Cricut Explore was just delivered yesterday (though I won't get it until Christmas). I've had die cutting machines for years, and as a result I don't own any thickers or letter stickers. When I need a title, I reach for one of my machines.

I never understood the gypsy or why people think it makes it easier to use the cricut. It takes me minutes to pick a font type it in the gypsy and cut. I love my gypsy. that being said I reach to my cricut for most titles. I am an odd duck- i only 1 set of thickers.

When I make cards, I usually use my big shot (I have dies with the Norwegian words for "happy birthday" and "merry christmas"). With layouts, I use both diecut letters and stickers/thickers (sometimes on the same page, you always run out of the same letters on those sheets).

99% of the time I use my Cameo. In fact I just gave a bunch of letter stickers to my friend's daughter. I don't know why but for some reason I couldn't part with a lot of my Thickers... I'll probably let my daughter use them for school projects!

I have posted this before, but is you are a Thicker user, you can mix and match the styles by adding the same color of ink to the different styles. I use the little Prima inks (look like blue irons). They almost work like paint when you press down hard. I like that I can use up old letters to make a new fun title by just making them the same color.

I have some thickers but most of the time I use die cuts or stamped titles. I need to use up my thickers and then switch back to using my stamps/die cuts.

I mix it up. I use my Cameo, or my Thickers, or sticker stash. Even my QK dies in the BigShot. It totally depends on the LO. And what I want. I have an E and carts, but have not used it since I got my Cameo. Sometimes I want a title with a word(s) I can cut on the cameo and will often mix it up with stickers too. I have a few older QK and Cuttlebug alpha dies and I like using those and cutting fun foam with them to make my own foam "Thickers". Especially the glitter foam. You can get a lot of letters out of a single $1.50 sheet of fun foam I don't think I have a preference. My Cameo and lap top are right by may scrap desk, the Thickers, dies and stickers are all with a step or two, so it really is a decision based on the look I want or what fits my stash.

I use my silhouette about 75% of the time. I also use smaller alpha stickers sometimes to, particularly with a larger part of the title cut with the cameo. Rarely, I will use thickers. I don't have the best luck with them sticking. I hate finding them in the bottom of a page protector.

I'm a die cutter. I have a problem with the price of Thickers/stickers and the limitations. I also have not had good luck with my Thickers sticking to the layouts that I'm working on.
It's interesting to see how many people have responded that they use the old Quickutz. I just recently moved and came across it and the notebook full of alphabet dies. I, too, will be making use of them again.

Never. Ever. Ever. use letter stickers or thickers or anything. Ever. That being said, I have a Cameo and if I have to make a title (though I usually prefer not to), I will cut it.

I'd say 99.9% of the time. I never cared for pre-made letter stickers, so the only ones I have were given to me, and I use them very, very rarely in a title.

I'll usually reach for my Thickers first, to see if the color works w/my layout. Then I'll go for another type of alpha - I still have those MM metal letters, epoxy ones, etc. If I still can't find anything that works, I'll either go for sticker letters or I'll use my Slice. I don't own a Cameo (still on my Christmas list!) or Cricut.

Quickutz Squeeze and a ton of alphabets. I have oodles of die cutting machines but find QK the easiest to get the right size.

My Big Red is used mostly for embossing folders now. I have a Cricut Create and an Expression 2.I used my Gypsy with my Create. I have not touched the Create in a year since I got the E2. I had problems using the Gypsy with the E2. This past summer I tried out the Craft Room and stopped using the Gypsy. Now I'm eyeing an Explore. I have tried out the Design Space program that goes with the Explore. My internet so far has been fine with it. I was going to sell the other 3 to get an Explore. Now I'm thinking of just selling the Create and Gypsy. Apparently I can now call up Cricut and they will help me wipe the Gypsy clean so that a new owner can have it since all my carts are linked to my Cricut account. I want to keep the E2 for now because I have read that Design Space can go down or be glitchy and since you HAVE TO USE it to use the Explore, I'd like to have a back up. . I loved the Gypsy because it was mobile. I could take it anywhere, like in the car for a long trip and design. I never used the Create manually after getting the Gypsy. Also it saves your projects so if you want that Thank You title again you can bring it up. When I got the E2 (wanted the bigger cutting space) I used the Gypsy for awhile. Became a pain in the butt after awhile. It kept losing the connection and messing up cutting! So I tried using it manually and just hated it! Also the Gypsy screen was seeming more small to me. Though I'm sure that was just my eyes getting older. So I gave in and tried Cricut Craft Room. I was able to put it on my computer and a laptop so I could use either one if one wasn't free. The bigger screen was really an improvement for me. Then I saw the sales for the Explore pop up and thought hmm... should I? I started to read about it more. I some videos about all the cool stuff you could do in Design Space that I never could do in the other design programs. So I tried out Design Space. In all honesty I didn't think I would ever like a computer based electronic cutter. I hung onto using my Sizzix as long as I could. Then I realised how much more creative I could get and how easier it was to do cards. I make cards for my husband. He runs a theatre and when he is director he gives out Thank You cards with gifts on opening night. At first I started making cards for his Young Company's productions. I did a cool Hallowe'en one for their "Spooky Stories" play that I would NEVER have been able to do or think up of on my own. It envolved a Haunted house and that started my doing the Thank You cards for now on. And now when I make Christmas Cards, DH gives me an order for the theatre also. I've been wondering if anyone would even want to buy my Sizzix dies!

I hardly ever use my Silhouette to cut titles, but I do use it on almost every page I make for a background or embellishments!

Stickers first, then Cameo. Usually I have Thickers I am still trying to use up.

I mix it up - cricut with SCAL software to cut titles and shapes, Bigshot and dies or stickers of various sizes. I probably use my cricut less for Project Life because I'm focussed on cards and a few embellishments.
