Of course I love scrapbooking, which is why I'm here, but lately I'm leaning more towards art journaling and mixed media. It appeals to me because I feel I can just freestyle it and not worry about sizing photos, printing photos, matching papers and embellishments, etc. I just want to sit down and play!
This is a very new creative process for me so I was hoping some of you here keep an art/mixed media journal and want to talk about it. Do you have favorite supplies, techniques, people you look to for inspiration? Tell me everything I need to know, lol!

A few come to mind for me: Balzer DesignsDyan ReaveleyMarjie KemperBetz GoldenI feel like I'll never be a great mixed media artist because my name isn't cool like all these ladies. Seriously though, love all these ladies, and their styles are all so different.

I like Dyan Reaveley also, Dina Wakely, Vicki Boutin, Nathalie DeSousa. Dyan and Dina are more mixed media/art inspiration. Vicki and Nathalie are more scrapbooking/layout type inspiration. At least for me anyway.

France Papillon Finnabair Karen Abend has a free annual 3 week called “Sketchbook Revival” with lots of different artists, some mixed media. Usually April/May timeframe Mary Beth Shaw “Stencil Girl”
Kasia Avery (Everything Art) annual offering of Wanderlust a year long course includes guest artists. She also has some shorter projects, occasional free offering. I joined Wanderlust 2020 late (reopened during the first lockdown in UK) and am thoroughly enjoying it. Learning lots of new ideas & techniques.

I also really like Vicky Papaioannou. Her videos are lovely and detailed. Perfect for a newbie like me. She also makes a lot of cards.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll have plenty to check out this rainy weekend. Do any of you post your art journals on blogs, Instagram, etc.? I'd love to see!

Yes, Vicy P. is my favorite. I also like Dyan Reaveley. I've taken her classes in person, and she's a lot of fun.

I recently found Shawn Petite and I love watching her. She offers a free collage papers as well as sells some. Might not be everyone's style but I like watching her.
