I have one item that was supposed to be here on the 11th that is still in the Midwest somewhere. That one is USPS. I think Fed Ex and UPS at least the tracking has been pretty accurate.

I mailed a package USPS on Monday to S. Cali. Priority. Usually takes 2, sometimes 3 days. It was delivered on Sunday, so 7 days. And on a Sunday. It sat in Seattle for 2 days for some reason. Then it sat in Anaheim for a full day as well.
Crazy.

Longer. A package that was supposed to be delivered on the 2nd arrived on the 15th that was UPS and it sat for weeks before they picked it up. It actually shipped on the 28th and was within the state. Hubby has a package sitting in MO and it has been for a while now. They just keep changing the date out further and further USPS it’s not moving.
Knock on wood I’ve had pretty good luck with FedEx but even they are several days longer than they say and packages have stalled for a day or two on 2 day service.

yeah, we just sent a bunch of stuff out UPS and I'm just crossing my fingers it gets there in time. if it doesn't oh well. USPS is just borked at the moment. I ordered some fabric for a project on the 6th of December and it still hasn't shown up. I sent one box off USPS before I realized how bad it was and of course now it's "delayed".

I mailed gifts to my brother's family today at the post office. I told SIL that they would probably be there in February. The mailman said that the official deadline for Priority Mail is Dec 19th, however he said that it was announced within the post office last night for them to tell customers there is no Christmas guarantee for anything at this point.

I would not ship USPS right now. Our current administration really did a number. I feel for the employees.

UPS and Fed-Ex have been great! USPS is an absolute Sh*tshow right now. Missing two packages right now that are over a week late.

No carriers are guaranteeing any shipping times.
It is Christmas, AND the middle of a pandemic. I'd err WAY on the side of caution and send stuff out early.

I have items that I ordered just before Thanksgiving. They are stuck.....some where. I contacted the company. They sent out another order. It too is stuck....some where.
So, I look at it this way.....I’ll have treasures to share in 2021!

I mailed out four boxes on Monday at the post office. I'm hoping they'll get there by Christmas. I ordered something the first Sat in December. That Monday money was taken from PayPal and they sent an email saying the item was shipped. This week I went back to the email to track the package and it says that a shipping label was printed - that's it. It will be interesting to see when it comes. I'll be surprised if it gets here before Christmas. Really glad that I did the bulk of my shopping before Thanksgiving and had them shipped directly to the people who I am giving them too. I asked my siblings to wrap for my nieces and nephews. I told my daughter to just wrap the entire shipping box for herself.

I shipped with UPS last week. It was delivered exactly when they said it would be but it took from Monday to Monday to go from coast to coast.
A package I shipped USPS to Wales from the east coast USA arrived in a few days.
Fed EX seems like it is on time. I was expecting a phone and it arrived pretty much within minutes of the time they said it would arrive by.

Most of my stuff has been exactly when it said. Quite a few things were even a day or two early.

FedEx from in state took 2 extra days.
UPS from a few states away took 4 extra days.
USPS for me has been right on the money or a day early.

I bought the Estee Lauder Holiday kit on Thursday, the 10th of December. It shipped FedEx and arrived on Tuesday, the 15th of December at 11:14 am.
The bottle of Estee Lauder Micro Essence I purchased to qualify for the Holiday kit shipped by USPS. The tracking info said that a label was printed on 10 December, but then it sat in Richmond for a few days. The next notice I got was on Tuesday, the 15th, and it arrived today, on the 17th December. The tracking texts were awful. I got a couple tests on the 10th with the same info and the same thing happened today. No info on between.

I mailed packages from KY to CA on Dec 7 paying extra for priority 2-3 day air. One arrived on Dec 15 and one is still in transit 10 days later.

I realize I'm tempting fate by posting here but both USPS and UPS dates have been right on for me. I don't have anything near the ton of snow I saw in PA though.

Please remember that UPS and FedEx are delivering all the vaccines to every state, so I would guess that adds to the delay of the regular shipping.

I manage a couple e-commerce sites. We ship USPS, FedEx 1 day and FedEx 2 day. FedEx shipments seem to be arriving on time or at least close to. USPS are taking up to 15 days. It’s nuts. I would not ship USPS now, unless you don’t care when it arrives.

I have one from USPS that was shipped in the 4th. I am beginning to wonder if it will show up. I mailed something on the 2nd to TN. I also mailed two other packages on the same day. The one going to TN hasn't been updated since the 8th. Everything else I've shipped this month has made it to their destinations, including a different package to a different city in TN. There's a black hole out there in the system somewhere.

I have to ship things frequently. USPS is third - they just don't have the resources and cannot make it happen. Fedex has been great- UPS is good.

I would not use the USPS. I mailed a package the Monday after Thanksgiving. It sat in a facility until today. A few days ago I asked them about it and they said it was lost. But it moved today.
I sent my sister a letter last week, 6 days ago. She usually gets letters in 2, possibly 3 days. It still isn't there. My daughter sent me a letter from Europe 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. I don't have it. My company sent me a box from down the street (well, 6 miles!) and it took 3 weeks to get here. It was a priority mail box.
My UPS stuff is getting everywhere it says it will get and FedEx is just stellar.

Glad to hear an extra day or two with FedEx. Perfectly reasonable to me. The one that took over two weeks to move was UPS. Once it started moving it was quick. My husband’s package from MO finally moved snd then arrived quickly which was USPS. Amazon is hit or miss I had two attempts to get something with the running late and request a refund if it doesn’t show by such snd such. One arrived after the second attempt but was still 2 days late. DH is now facing the same thing. I think one of the distribution centers here is having issues and yet other items come the next day.

Last Friday I sent a package via FedEx to a location that only gets one delivery time a day and is usually quite expensive since it is quite out of the way. Told me it would be there the 16th. Package actually arrived on the 15th.

Things were doing fine with USPS until right after Thanksgiving. I’ve had several things that were mailed that week and are just sitting in various locations across the US and not moving. I’ve NEVER seen it like this before. Yes, the occasional thing goes missing or takes a long time, but I currently have FOUR packages and letters that are stuck in USPS limbo.
UPS and FEDEX have been on time, but companies I am buying from appear to add days onto the regular shipping estimates. Most reliable is stuff that is being delivered by the Blue Amazon van. Most Amazon stuff comes that way to us now.

I sent a UPS package last week that arrived in 4 days, ground shipping from a large metro area to a rural area, no holdups. All was well and that was within the promised window.
I ordered something on Monday that came FedEx, and arrived on the second day. No delay at all including for our snow!
so UPS and Fedex seem to be doing fine for us.
On the other hand I ordered some items from a shop in NY and I could have driven and picked them up by now - they are coming USPS and I can’t imagine what has happened to them. I ordered them in November and they shipped right away, they just haven’t arrived yet.
All my Amazon stuff shows up as promised. I can’t imagine how crazy it is in their shipping facilities. I ordered from a couple other places this year though, and I’m guessing stuff will show up when it shows up. Some stuff is on weeks long shipping delays. One item I was very excited to give - I guess I’ll print a picture of it and wrap that up in a box if I have to. Ha!

Our mail carrier gave us this number to find a package. We had one stuck and we got it after notifying/asking for it at this office. That was before current admin changed with things.

Hope it helps the rest of you.
