No buttons since the 90s, probably around the time I also had some stripey lace up fly ones

These inexpensive, button-fly jeans from Old Navy are awesome. Really flattering and comfortable. They look a little short as pictured, but they’re ankle length on me (I’m about 5’7”). Until my 30’s I wore Levi’s 501s with a button fly. My body has changed and they don’t fit the same any longer. I still wear Levi’s but it gets harder to find a style that fits. I have a round butt, muscular thighs and calves, but no hips to speak of. I always end up extra fabric in my hip dips. I hate all the spandex in women’s jeans these days, they slide down if I don’t wear a belt. I hate wearing a belt.

We only wear zipper fly. I’d love a pair of button fly, but they don’t lay as flat as I’d like on my gut. I do hope to get another pair sometime, though.

A high-rise button fly is extremely flattering on my not-flat belly. I wish I could find more of them... my favorite pair needs to be replaced, and I’d love to have some more in circulation.

As long as the jeans fit well and are comfortable, I wouldn’t really care. The last button fly I remember owning was a low rise pair from The Gap, but the buttons were concealed.

These inexpensive, button-fly jeans from Old Navy are awesome. Really flattering and comfortable. Those are cute! I had to share a photo. These are the last pair of button fly jeans I had! Ok, I think I have to amend the OP because I just might have had a similar pair in the 80s!
