Until 9:00PM MDT Sunday, January 3rd, you can lay down challenges in the January Challenges thread. They can be challenges to create a particular project--say a page, or a card, or a piece of wall art,--Use a particular colour or material or technique or texture, use particular number or size of photos on a page, particular fonts, letters, or images, start or finish a project, or... Make it a challenge that will keep YOU excited about scrapping, maybe something that will get you going to actually FINISH that little mini album.
SHARING:
Your creations can be shared in individual challenge threads (Regular monthly challenges) or in the January Sharing Thread on the General Scrapbooking board. You do not HAVE to share your creation to earn your challenge points, but only those shared will earn the Sharing points.
POINTSEarn one point for your team each time you: *set a challenge *create something no matter the size. *share a photo or scan of that creation with us. Then you can choose to score points by either of these counting systems. And you don't have to stick to one system, so you can use one system for one creation and the other for another. We don't want to spend all our time doing MATH, so do what is easiest for you. OLD SCHOOL *meet ANY of the challenges. You can claim ONE POINT for every challenge your creation meets, PLUS any bonus points offered up by that challenge. No limit to how many challenges you meet with one creation. And you can use any of the challenges for points any number of creations during the month! EASY PEASY: After you have calculated in your creating (1 point) and sharing (1 point), you claim a flat number of points for each creation, depending on its SIZE ***Give yourself 20 points for every creation that is at least 8”x11”. **Give yourself 15 points for each creation that is between 5”x7” and 8”x11” *Give yourself 10 points for any creation smaller than 5”x7” Please save a spot to collect your points by replying to this thread If you create multiple cards with the same design (let's say 10 for this example), you can show us ONE of them. Then you would claim 10 for creating and 1 for sharing before going on with other points. (11 points in the example) * EASY PEASY, just go by points for that size (let's say 15 in this case) and multiply by number of cards (10), add on your points for creating/sharing (11) and your total would be 161 points for ten cards. *OLD SCHOOL: count up the points you earned for items on your one shared card. Let's say you picked up 20 points for it. Now multiply by the number of cards (10), so 200, and then add on your creating & sharing (11), so 211 points.

Edited at the top to add: Can I say thank-you so much to grammadee , joyfulnana , and so many others for helping me get back into the joy of crafting and scrapping. I love the new format of having categories, it makes it so much easier to tally points, and I actually used the spread sheet this month! I'm glad I have a bit of Excel experience so that helps! January 11th to 14th: seven pages @ easy peasy points. Total 148.
January 15th to 22nd: fourteen pages (273), one card (17), five hours virtual crop (50). Total: 340
January 23rd to 31st: thirteen pages and three cards 373.
January 31st: Four hours cleaning and organizing and storing Christmas scrappy supplies (40). 1 1/2 hours on line with the Peas (15). Total: 55.

If you are scanning into a computer, then the easiest way to post here is to upload it to another site, like Flickr or fb or a blog or... Depending on the site you upload to, we can help you link to a post on the message board.
If you are snapping a pic with your phone, you can link directly with an app like Tapatalk. Again, depending on the app, we can help you make the link.
