I played waaaay too many hours today. DD started her own island and I have been trying to help her get hers up and going. Plus I have been decorating the crap out of my island, but I am still only at a four-star review. Anyone know exactly how many decorations it takes to reach the magic five stars? It may not be decorations are lacking, what did Isabelle say? Do you have 7 bridges and ramps? Bamboo? Both kinds of trees? Flowers? It is a combo of stuff they are looking for. Also, you can’t have things not placed. Any DIYs or sticks on the ground count against you. I think you can only have 10? |

So I have added a bunch. Now she just says I need to decorate more. I do have all kinds of trees, bamboo, plus loads of bridges and inclines, and I have so many flowers I have been pulling some up. I will make sure all my stuff is picked up. Sometimes I get tired of picking up branches. I'll let you know! Thanks.  |

You don't need 7 bridges and ramps. I'm at five stars and I still have only one real bridge (and one land bridge, although I don't think that was there when I first got five stars), and five ramps. I had two areas with fences (the cemetery, and the pumpkin patch), and flowers but not as many as some people have. I had flowers in little areas -- next to houses, near Ables, etc., plus one area up top where I thought I'd keep the rest of the random flowers. I had a flower shop, a zen-type garden, a cemetery, a chapel, a villagers' neighborhood, a rock garden, a few decorations around my house... Also, I had a few small little areas tucked in here and there....for example, near some rocks on the beach in a hidden area I had a pirate's treasure chest, and in another secluded beach area I have fishing stuff set up. I also had chairs and beach towels on the beach, little reading nooks tucked in here and there around the island. It was Halloween at the time so near my entrance I had a pumpkin patch and cider stand. I had decorated all over the island by dropping pumpkins (this was before I had any of the DIYs to make pumpkin decorations) and Isabelle said I was 4 stars because I had too much stuff dropped. I ran around and picked up all the dropped pumpkins and she gave me 5 stars. I'm back to 4 now because I have a lot of unassessed fossils in front of the museum, and a lot of stuff dropped in front of my second profile's house for her to put in storage. I think Isabelle likes it when you have a lot of small little set-ups rather than several large ones. |

So I spent quite some time yesterday taking down Christmas.  I still have some of the lighted things such as the snowflakes, and some of the lighted trees... I like how they're sparkly at night. I took down most of my trains, except for the one that runs around the island that's at my airport entrance, although I took the toys off of it. I might just keep that up for awhile longer. Now what? lol... I've seen some of you saying you're switching over from xmas to an "ice" theme. What are you doing for that? I have my ice skating area, a few coffee-type areas, and random ice stuff (pillars, arches, tables, etc.) all over the place. But I have no real idea on how to use that ice stuff. I took apart my cut-your-own-tree area and spread those fir trees around the island, and I have this vision of a pine forest with ice things in it, but I can't quite figure out how to do it. Today's project is to go through my main profile's storage. OMG!  They gave us all that new storage and I've almost filled it up again! how?  |

Now what? lol... I've seen some of you saying you're switching over from xmas to an "ice" theme. What are you doing for that? I have my ice skating area, a few coffee-type areas, and random ice stuff (pillars, arches, tables, etc.) all over the place. But I have no real idea on how to use that ice stuff. I took apart my cut-your-own-tree area and spread those fir trees around the island, and I have this vision of a pine forest with ice things in it, but I can't quite figure out how to do it. I still have some Christmas stuff up because it's so much... and now what to do with all this space?! Uggghhhh. I expanded my Polar Bear Plunge to take over my Grinch area and I'm happy with that. We have a frozen restaurant area, but otherwise, we just scattered it with the nova lights.. /shrug definitely not easy to work with. They gave us all that new storage and I've almost filled it up again! how? LOL!!! I'm trying to re-do my house (and get DS's going) and it's like "why do I have this crap and not anything I need"?! Today in my shop I have a giant pink and white papa panda bear, a butterfly-fish mobile, a bucket, and a radio. Not too much exciting there. Leif is here selling pumpkin starts, pin and red cameilla starts, holly starts, hyacinths in various colors, and pink, white, and red roses. I am still at a four-star rating. Today she is back to telling me to add fencing. I guess I will fence the crap out of the place. Grrr. I should have plenty of areas. I have a huge gym, a diner, a tea area, a jail, a couple of regular parks, plus a whole amusement parks. I've ordered enough to create a school next. After that I might give up. I don't know what else she wants.

It's odd how she decides to hand out that 5-star rating. I am absolutely positive that I had only the fence around my cemetery, the fence around my pumpkin patch, and a few pieces of fence (i.e., not enclosing the garden but just as an accent) at my zen garden. That's it. I still don't have a lot -- around some small reading areas, and around my skating rink -- but the only thing Isabelle says to me about why I went down to 4 stars is that I have too much stuff laying around. Which is true. lol  |

So, when I was terraforming I accidentally got myself stuck, I could have problem solved my way out but I had just gotten everything placed perfectly and didn’t want to try to position my darn Jack o lantern again because it was being incredibly difficult, so I used emergency services. Have any of you done that? It was really pretty fun! Well worth the 100 nook miles just to try.
Also, how do you get the pretty 5 star island flowers? I only have 2 and Dilbert has way more, I check pretty regularly, and other then this week I am usually at 5 stars. Is there a specific day they are given out? That is what they are from, correct?

I am cleaning up Christmas as well although I don't have much since I feel I was late to the decorating thing just getting started at that time.
My 'problem' is decorating!!! I have a vision and then bam, I have nothing towards that vision. I guess I need to be less picky. Tables are either to big, to small, to this or that. HA... I get frustrated and end up just 'working'. Ignoring my ability to get my island cute.
My DD and I are sharing the island.. I'm the main person. She is in charge of all the critters and who is living on the island. Which is great as I don't feel like I spend much time on the critters anyways and that is what she loves. I just gifted her a bunch of bells 'someone' left me a couple of days ago.. THANKS for that. I think she was about to cry because she hasn't been able to build up any bells yet and trying to enlarge her house. I do want her to 'work' a LITTLE for it, but I do drop bells there all the time so it won't take her so long. Everyone was so helpful with me so I am passing it to her for now.
Anyways, wishing I was playing instead of working, which I should get back to..... LOL.. have fun...

I added fencing. Then added some more. Not good enough for her. Once I added the fencing around my residents' houses, that seemed to pop me up there to 5 star. Now I go back and forth between 4 and 5 depending on how many free DIYs I keep laying around on the beach. I always figure out I am back in good standing with her when I find a new lily of the valley plant. |

Arcadia will have shooting stars tonight, but I'm opening now because I also have the rug camel. She has the yellow design rug, natural wooden deck rug, and shanty mat. My mysterious items were white chocolate wall and highway flooring. The ones I purchased were the chain link fence wallpaper and construction site flooring.
Goldie is crafting the Natural Garden Table.
Tonight when I reopen, should we dress up? I'd like a happy or costume theme. Any ideas?
Nook's: buy anything. it has the purple, or is it the blue, hanging scroll, which is 140,000 bells. I didn't buy it to catalog because we recently cataloged it at Party Isla. Bamboo...somethings are the hot items. Turnips are 45.
Able's: Chesterfield muffler, Chesterfield coat, down jacket, oil skin coat, yodel sweater, Chino pants, long sailor skirt, rain pants, Tweed pants, linen dress, wrestler uniform, Aaron knit cap, plain cap, power helmet, food mess, denim leggings, boots, pleather sneakers, and sporty sandals. *NOTE: I can't remember who wanted pants that tuck into boots, but the chino pants tuck into boots. There isn't a purple pair, unfortunately.
There our DIYs on the path between nooks and take what you need some include armor shoes, modern wood wall, medium cardboard boxes, iceberg flooring, gold screen wall, peach rug, log bench, natural garden table, barrel, Palm Tree lamp, and ornament wreath.
Please leave the items by Bobby's house where they are. (I'd say feel free to catalog, but they're today's rugs and a sling shot... I I think everyone is fine on those LOL.) I'm currently afk cuz my battery was lower than I thought. So I guess I'll go drain the washer drain catch/lint trap instead of procrastinating on ACNH lol.

Nook's: buy anything. it has the purple, or is it the blue, hanging scroll, which is 140,000 bells. I didn't buy it to catalog because we recently cataloged it at Party Isla. Bamboo...somethings are the hot items. Turnips are 45. Able's: Chesterfield muffler, Chesterfield coat, down jacket, oil skin coat, yodel sweater, Chino pants, long sailor skirt, rain pants, Tweed pants, linen dress, wrestler uniform, Aaron knit cap, plain cap, power helmet, food mess, denim leggings, boots, pleather sneakers, and sporty sandals. *NOTE: I can't remember who wanted pants that tuck into boots, but the chino pants tuck into boots. There isn't a purple pair, unfortunately. There our DIYs on the path between nooks and take what you need some include armor shoes, modern wood wall, medium cardboard boxes, iceberg flooring, gold screen wall, peach rug, log bench, natural garden table, barrel, Palm Tree lamp, and ornament wreath. Please leave the items by Bobby's house where they are. (I'd say feel free to catalog, but they're today's rugs and a sling shot... I I think everyone is fine on those LOL.) I'm currently afk cuz my battery was lower than I thought. So I guess I'll go drain the washer drain catch/lint trap instead of procrastinating on ACNH lol. Dressing up sounds fun! I have been purchasing crazy items from the abels store with the idea of doing a crazy dress up day. 😂 |

Today in my shop I have a giant pink and white papa panda bear, a butterfly-fish mobile, a bucket, and a radio. Not too much exciting there. Leif is here selling pumpkin starts, pin and red cameilla starts, holly starts, hyacinths in various colors, and pink, white, and red roses. I am still at a four-star rating. Today she is back to telling me to add fencing. I guess I will fence the crap out of the place. Grrr. I should have plenty of areas. I have a huge gym, a diner, a tea area, a jail, a couple of regular parks, plus a whole amusement parks. I've ordered enough to create a school next. After that I might give up. I don't know what else she wants.
ETA: My clothing shop has argyle sweaters, down jackets, collarless coats, hand-knit tanks, retro coats, school jackets, cropped pants, denim shorts, flare skirts, power skirt suits, togas, cycling caps, faux fur hats, fedoras, student caps, butterfly shades, everyday socks, everyday tights, stockings, terrycloth socks, business shoes, cute sneakers, steel-toed boots, and vinyl round-toed pumps
I added fencing. Then added some more. Not good enough for her. Once I added the fencing around my residents' houses, that seemed to pop me up there to 5 star. Now I go back and forth between 4 and 5 depending on how many free DIYs I keep laying around on the beach. I always figure out I am back in good standing with her when I find a new lily of the valley plant. I will try fencing houses. Maybe that will do it.
Oh! In good news, I finally got my most wished for item...a refrigerator! A balloon dropped that on me this weekend.
My DD took the pink panda since you guys gifted one here. If anyone needs anything from my island, I'll open it up. Just give me a shout.

So, when I was terraforming I accidentally got myself stuck, I could have problem solved my way out but I had just gotten everything placed perfectly and didn’t want to try to position my darn Jack o lantern again because it was being incredibly difficult, so I used emergency services. Have any of you done that? It was really pretty fun! Well worth the 100 nook miles just to try. Also, how do you get the pretty 5 star island flowers? I only have 2 and Dilbert has way more, I check pretty regularly, and other then this week I am usually at 5 stars. Is there a specific day they are given out? That is what they are from, correct? I think you have to be 5 star for 7 days in a row, then on the 7th day you'll get one. So, if you drop in the middle of the week and haven't checked you might now know. I have so many of those damn things right now I don't know what to do with them (because of the time travelling, no doubt). Do you guys keep them all, or trash some like regular flowers? |

Hello! I didn't play at all yesterday, man!! I did get a new villager on Saturday - after only 4 tickets. I was shocked. Was really not looking for anyone in particular and Maple showed up. So I took her. Not sure I'll keep her long term, but she's a little cutie. This leaves me without a jock, but that's OK for now. I've hit a brick wall on creativity for the left side of my Island. I think that's why I didn't play yesterday. I might just finish out my mini golf course, and then make the rest of that side a park of some sort. With a bunch of trees and benches and flowers, etc. We'll see. Last night I did watch a video on You Tube though that walks you through creating your own path. There is a very popular path that someone else created, just known as "the path" that includes 9 pieces. This person has recreated her own version of it so she can customize for the seasons, etc. It's super cute. And doesn't look at that hard to do. I might play with creating my own path. I still have some of the lighted things such as the snowflakes, and some of the lighted trees... I like how they're sparkly at night. I took down most of my trains, except for the one that runs around the island that's at my airport entrance, although I took the toys off of it. I might just keep that up for awhile longer.
They gave us all that new storage and I've almost filled it up again! how?
