Happy New Year dear friends!
Thank you for helping me survive 2020. We've laughed, we've cried, we've shopped, and we've created. Let's hope this year we have many more happy memories to document.

I actually plan to gather my Dec photos today so I can get going with finishing 2020 PL
I might print a couple of printables to fill in some places in my memory planner so I can put that on my shelf.

Hurray! It's 2021!! Finally. 😁
Today I should upload my Christmas and New Year's photos, and order them. Last night I made a point of taking selfies with my two youngest (the ones willing!😁).
Here's hoping to a happier, better year, full of days that we can make memories that we want to remember.

organised my cards, blank cards, and envelopes into a box I picked up yesterday. Next up is ordering photos and then organising the pile of printed photos and a handful of layouts into page protectors in an album in order.
(bet you can't guess what I bought yesterday at HL - 2 albums and a box to store cards -so very exciting)

I followed through with my plans, and ordered December pics. Also NYE & NY Day.
I'm looking forward to making my holiday pages.

I need to catch up on the 18-20 months I'm behind in photo printing. I'm thinking that this year isn't going to be much different than the majority of 2020 (I'm just hoping it isn't worse, ykwim?) so I plan to make 2021 a monthly album. I figure if we do go back to the before times, it probably won't be until later in the year and figure that my usual 3-4 pages for a week could easily be 3-4 pages for a month.
I've been doing a lot of organizing the last couple of weeks. Slow going and even though it doesn't look like I've done much of anything, I can tell there is an improvement and that's what counts. Not sure how productive I'll be because distance learning makes everything a struggle, but I'm going to try to get back into things.

So far today I sat down to work on my cruise album that I wanted to finish last month and I ended up organizing all my holiday and birthday paper. Clearly not off to a great start.

Well I did the set up of my January pages in my memory planner, I’m happy with it. I pretty much just stamped my thoughts on starting 2021 http://instagram.com/p/CJheGnQHuRH But then I got to my daily page and I’m sort of out of sorts. New layout has me slightly stumped as I switched to vertical and I think that might need to be done more weekly than each night. Not sure. But it’s also off because it’s not a full week either so I have a whole page to fill where the beginning of the week would usually be. I’ll have to think on it. It’s the beginning of the year so maybe a reflections page or something. Not sure. I might have to keep notes in my phone and sit down once a week to do the whole 2 pages, I’m not sure. But there was a slight panic when I realized I can’t really do each days column separately. I’m still pretty sure I’ll like this format when I get used to it but the it will take getting used to. I set aside some stickers & color coordinated scraps, got out some coordinating letter stickers and I’ll see what happens Sunday 🤞🏻 Right now I’m looking at cut files & printables while i watch TV

Last night I actually got 90% of a layout done, so I plan on finishing that off tonight. This week, I'll get my memory planner/journal set up. I'm looking forward to getting a new laptop this week to replace the one my toddler had an "accident" on - on Thanksgiving (the extra protection plan we got for that laptop was well worth it, lol). Once that is in, I can install Photoshop elements and get started on my December Daily project.

I had a very rocky start to 2021 with extended family drama, which kept me from getting the nice photos that I wanted. But I got some mediocre candid ones. We drove home yesterday in terrible winter road conditions and I just finished editing and uploading my photos and sending them to Walgreens. I get very confused when I have a lot of photos and usually end up ordering doubles and triples of some and not ordering others.
A friend of mine who sells CM has a coloring sheet to meet goals each month and I am going to endeavor to complete it. Apparently there is some kind of paper pack incentive and I am all about more paper.
I ordered a winter kit on Peachy Cheap so even though most all the snow had melted at my mom's, I found an unmelted pile of snow at the end of someone's driveway and took DGD for some snow pics. My family thinks I am ridiculous.
I had packed up most of the food we were to have for our New Years Good luck meal and brought it home with me. We managed to have our pork and sauerkraut last night despite the day being pretty much ruined, so we are all hoping it will help us to have a better 2021, at least better than the first day was!

I will be home alone for a few hours today. I'm taking it some much needed "me" time in my scrap area.
While I love the holidays, there is a certain relief to get back to normal, whatever that is.

add me to the 'ordering the rest of the 2020 photos' bench I did the same this weekend. With that said, I'm still trying to finish up 2015-2019. But I'm nearly ready to say ENOUGH ALREADY! And move forward.

I've been working on the 50 Layouts No Spend challenge this week. Have completed 3 towards my goal.
I like that it keeps scrapping on my mind, and a goal to keep me going. And something to look forward to during a time when I'm having trouble with it.
I'm excited to scrap my holiday pages when the photos come. I like working on one big theme project. I pull out my whole big kit and can see the big picture of how the pages all come together and work together.

Ok, I finished 1-3 1/2 week in my memory planner. Once I got going it was no problem. I guess my biggest issue is it’s easier not to do it daily. Doing it daily was my habit, it worked and I stuck to it for 2 years. So I’m hoping waiting isn’t going to mess that up. 🤞🏻On the plus side it’s easier to be fun and add in fun things

Still plugging away in my memory planner. This format is ‘harder’ for me but I’m liking my end results.
Pros : More space to play More ‘layout’ feel My ‘layouts’ ( weeks ) are more cohesive when they are done.
Cons: I can’t just sit down each night and do that day so I have to change my whole habit of how I work.
The jury is still out if I can adapt. Later this week when I finish the week maybe I’ll post photos for advice

Still waiting for pics... Me, too. I hope today is the day! I have a whole bunch of my childhood photos that I scanned in this print order, as well as my Christmas photos, such as they are. They are not traditional, that is for sure.

hop2, I love your planner pages! If I could put together something that organized AND pretty, I would be ecstatic! Have jumped on the 50 pages challenge, and just over 20% there, so hoping I can keep that up. Not much of a hardship right now, as I have my supplies purchased for Christmas cards ready to go on pages, plus my Christmas gifts to play with. Used my HS toner ink stamp kit the other day. Have been playing with oxide inks and VB foundations cs when I don't have cs I want to work with. I hope to get my December photos printed on Tuesday. I have been scrapping with some photos I had from earlier, and printed a few on my ink jet. Just doesn't feel like the same process for me, though, so hoping it will flow better after I have photos in hand.

Just bought myself a 5TB portable backup drive today. I usually burn copies of my photos as backup, too, but that's getting costly and takes up a lot of space, nevermind the fact that disc drives are going the way of the floppy disc. I'm mulling over the idea of just buying a 2nd portable drive and keeping 2 copies of the same photos this way just in case one corrupts. Not sure, just yet, but it's at least stage one of getting caught up on photo organization. I don't necessarily need to move them as I have plenty of room on my computer, but I ultimately want to upgrade my computer and the process of moving photos is time consuming. If I can save a step in the process by keeping things like music and photos on an external drive, I have a lot less to move when the time comes.
I'm hoping that I can get everything moved over over the next few days and can begin editing and ordering photos by the end of the week. Wish me luck!!

Hopefully delivered today or tomorrow. scrapaddict702 Good luck!!😀 Photo back up gives me anxiety. It is extra fun because I copy photos I want to edit and print so just those photos are all in one place. Which means that everything I actually like the final result of isn't in with the main files. At some point, I guess I started to COPY the edits instead of moving them over, so trying to fold them together is hard because I don't like deleting stuff on the off chance they aren't actually the same file or one of them is corrupt and I lose the good copy. Just finished consolidating 2017, though (will transfer in a little bit) and the entire year of just my big camera is 163GB...I don't even want to know what my cell phone memory is...hopefully not more than 30GB. But yeah, this is why burning to discs is expensive. Even Dual Layers would require like a minimum of 20 and possibly up to 30 depending on how I sort them on the discs. Portable drives are much cheaper in the long run.

Morning peas! The organizing bug has hit the scrapping room and the shopping bug has left the building! I have decided to organize my papers by manufacturers first and then a few holidays/seasons. I have decided I have enough paper. lol One entire cube full of Fall papers. NO MORE. Christmas papers. NO MORE.
This is my year of USE IT UP. Dig in and have fun!
Enjoy your day!

Those planner pages look great!
I was happy to finish my 2020 PL, then decided to make my own OLW journal with the resin covers like I did for my DD instead of buying something new. I'm just waiting for the back cover to cure and I'll start assembling and working on my OLW prompt. I didn't get the new class but will pick and choose prompts from old ones. Also started on a traditional layout but it's only 50% done.
