I know it is because of covid but there isn’t a lot of new product out there. I check Scrapbook.com and ACOT a lot because I’m dying to buy new product but I’m not finding much.
Usually every year has a random food, a random animal, a random plant, a random object, and a not so random color scheme (still too much pink).
What do you think it will be for this year?

I think it’s also the time of year, there tends to be a lull around the holidays. Big manufacturers and even some the small, independent places are taking some time off.
More llamas and cactuses? More farmhouse stuff? Maybe after 2020 less best day ever? I think the Pantone color of the year is yellow and grey?

I am hoping for some new.... home based and self reflection type products.
Stuff related to being at home...watching movies, reading books, conversations, working out, doing puzzles, hanging out, whatever project one has going, going for walks, etc....
Journaling Knowing yourself better Adding to ones to do list and bucket list, wishes, dreams, goals Things relating to the emptions of the past year, tears, wtf?, struggling, having to cook so many meals at home, not being socially active, going stir crazy, etc...

I note that creativity on will be an online only event this year Still - I always enjoy seeing the new stuff....and so far there is none. How about Aussie animals as the new icons - koalas, kangaroos and wombats

I'm not sure, I'd like to see some good boy lines or a pet (dog) that isn't cartoonish.

Maybe one more adapted to our mostly online life these past many, many months.
Sayings for online school, and online work.
Sayings for the selfies, the screenshot "group photos," the online "events" and gatherings that took place of in person events.
Let's get the word "virtual" in every font and multiple sizes, in diecuts and stickers, to add in front of our regular titles.
Virtual - award ceremony Thanksgiving Meet up Reunion Date You get the idea.
How about focusing on people's new hobbies?
Phrases like:
New interest Learning Passing the time Cooking up something new Creating Making Growing at home
Images of:
Cooking/kitchen stuff - pans of brownies, loaves of bread, etc.
Balls of yarn
Crochet & knitting tools
Gardening tools
Phrases for all the tv & shows & online entertainment we're watching.
Random phrases like:
New show! I like! New song! My new favorite On my mind Today's highlight New food Tried something new (today) Delivery! Made from scratch New book/ New read Today is... The best little thing about today is...

What I'd like: a pet line beyond cats and dogs since I now own guinea pigs.
Less pink...please less pink.
More book/reading related stuff.
Predictions: every line will still have pink and the weird trendy animal will be wearing a mask.

How about Aussie animals as the new icons - koalas, kangaroos and wombats That would be great. I love Kaisercraft because it is neat to see flowers and animals that aren't native to the US. I saw that someone put out a Canadian line, too, and I thought that was so neat. The big scrapbook manufacturers tend to be so US-centric. Things I'm wishing for:Pet lines that aren't cutesy. Cat lines that aren't pink. School lines that aren't elementary or vintage. I'd love to see more modern lines for middle school and high school. More music lines- I scrapbook a marching band kid and an electric guitar kid- I never have enough music paper. Another beer line - I scrapbook breweries and I never have enough of this paper, too. Or anything with a modern industrial aesthetic. Video game and computer lines. Lines that don't rely on gender stereotypes- so tired of boys being "brave" and girls being "cute". A girl's line that isn't extremely pink.

Good grief, I know some people are scrapping older photos and that is fine, but all this vintage school stuff is really annoying. My DS hasn't used a locker since 2nd grade.

I think there will be more medical stuff with the vaccine being released. More masks
Id like to see more art deco stuff. I know that's not going to happen. But that's what I'd like

I predict that Amy Tangerine’s random food will be either dalgona coffee or sourdough bread.
I think we’ll see more home themed collections with more chairs that we’re not exactly sure how to use, zoom themes, some ‘this too shall pass’ and ‘everything will be ok’ type of word phrases, and maybe some home improvement stuff. And masks, of course.

I want more herringbone. Not in pink. That's it. Low expectations.

Slimline paper pads I think there is a company already doing it. But I can't recall who.

I'd love less sappy/inspirational quotes, but I don't think I'll ever get that. Could we at least retire "good vibes only"?
Other than that I'm a fan of brighter colors (not rainbow!).
Everything else I'd like to see had already been mentioned, cat stuff (could we have some quirky cat mom stuff?), Books, more at home/quarantine/TV related.

Every year I hope new designers/manufacturers enter the industry, preferably with a clean/modern/linear aesthetic.

Maybe not this year, but at some point, they're going to start marketing 3D printers to us, maybe starting with pens and a variety of colored plastics, for making our own embellishments. Lumpy everything will come back into fashion
They're not things I'd buy, but the products already exist. It would just be a broadening of the marketing focus

Every year I hope new designers/manufacturers enter the industry, preferably with a clean/modern/linear aesthetic. I soooo miss the heyday of seeing new designers and manufacturers. I remember when Maya Road, Jillibean Soup, and Bella Blvd debuted. Maya Road wasn't my aesthetic, but I admired what they were doing. And I hoard my Jillbean Soup and Bella Blvd. It was exciting to see some many people starting new businesses.
Back to the topic at hand, unfortunately, I predict nothing new, just a continuation of "safe" designs and color.

Well, I don't actually want to see this, because I don't like gnomes (ducking now), but I foresee gnomes with masks.

I would love to see new lines from companies, rather than part 2 of last year's line. No more vintage trucks with flowers or trees, no more rain boots with flowers, please.

I predict red pandas as the random new creature.
I agree with the previously mentioned sourdough bread for the food icon.

I predict a vintage truck with shamrocks - I think that’s the only seasonal/holiday icon that hasn’t been done (well, I guess Easter eggs could happen too).
