I am very sad over Crate Paper and Pebbles.
And I agree it will be all pink and flowers for everything. But if you ask why or complain was told that pink and flowers are the most requested amongst crafters. Um yeah no.

Oof, AC. What are you doing? Crate Paper is hugely popular. Their chipboard and ephemera often sell out and need to be backordered even on popular sites like scrapbook.com. Which non-personal paper line brands are left if CP and Pebbles (RIP super cute Halloween collections) were just killed off? DCWV (new spring lines for 2021 already revealed) and possibly BoBunny (fellow recent acquisition)? Is that it? This is rough news. And doesn't make sense to me. Crate Paper is by far AC's most well-known paper brand internationally. The CP Christmas collection is super anticipated year after year. I don't know why I'm surprised. After all, AC launched a winter collection for CP in 2019 instead of a Christmas line and seemed clueless as to why people were sending them messages on social media about how disappointed they were with the late shipping date + lack of Christmas iconography. ETA: Somebody needs to start a separate discussion about how AC has red wedding-ed their brands in the past year. Justice for Shimelle, Pink Paislee, Crate Paper and Pebbles! I just made a comment to the last post made by crate paper and tagged Crate Paper and American Crafts. I’m not a fan of the collections by Maggie Holmes or Paige Taylor Evans. The color palette that PTE uses seems to be the same bright colors over & over. I can’t tell the difference from one collection to the next. Maggie Holmes collections all look the same to me. She also reminds me of Dear Lizzy with the staged and filtered family photos. Definitely a turn off for me.

Why can't they just go back to producing on their own? What will come of CP now?! I love their Christmas lines. AC fully own CP, indeed. Just like Pink Paislee (and Pebbles), it'll be headed to the graveyard. I don't think AC is even bothering with shopping these brands around. They've run their course in their (bizarre) opinion. I remember a time when AC released AC-branded paper lines. Gah. Even that was put to rest. Such a shame. |

Both Pebbles and Crate Paper have posted to support the launch of their previous "designer's" own collections under the AC umbrella. With the insider scoop that Pebbles and CP have been killed off, I think this is basic AC marketing strategy to reach the customers following those accounts, nothing more. We'll have to wait and see. If CP and Pebbles are absent from the upcoming AC spring reveal, I think we can definitely stick a fork in it. Much to my chagrin. I just ordered some of Pebbles' Spoooky line from last year because I'll regret it if I can't get my hands on it later. I fully predict a jump on anything CP and Pebbles still available if they're truly defunct. The Pink Paislee left-over stock has been gutted in France. All I can still find is some 5th & Monaco. |

You're remembering right, mom . She definitely said something along these lines, very clearly indicating he had passed away suddenly and surrounded by his kids/other loved ones. We even discussed the impact of the trauma of witnessing your parent's sudden passing in this very thread. This is secondhand knowledge, but a friend of mine who is friends with her said they were at home, all watching a baseball game together, when he died. I thought they were on vacation somewhere when he passed away? |

I also thought that one of the reasons for the Go Fund Me being set up so quickly was to help with the added expenses of getting his remains back home. I must have been dreaming. |

Also taking a selfie while crying and in destress and then posting it, is just so strange to me. I just don’t see the logic in it. You are so upset that you think to yourself, I better snap a pic of myself to show everyone just how upset I am? |
