Ok, I am getting tired of typing out the entire thread title, so I've shortened it Any kind of fiber/string art is welcome ! I finished up one half of my mom's wrap and am currently blocking it, once it dries, I will post a pic because it is too wonky looking to share right now, ha. I will be starting on a hooded Bear Cowl for my little niece at my sister's request, here is a pic: Ravelry link to patternWhat is everyone else up to?

Awww, that's adorable. I was at a retreat this weekend, so I got two more of my embroidery pieces for the quilt top done.

I have been pretty much down and out with a very nasty virus for the past several days so nothing in the works here.
I will hang around and admire what everyone is up to though.

Yep, still knitting Do your fingers still work?? My family really liked the felt garland I made for fall (with the fall leaves) and so for one of them I am trying to make one with holly leaves. So far? It stinks. I mean really, really stinks. I can't figure out a good design.

I ran into the evil of it when I was making my nephew's felt stocking last year. Seriously PITA!

I finished a baby dress for a shower this weekend and, because buttons are my nemesis, still need to sew the little buttons on. I'll post photos when it is finished-fished, rather than just 99.99% finished.
I am working on the yoke for my daughter's Antler sweater. She is getting an adult small, and somehow it is taking a wee bit longer than the same pattern knit for my two-year-old.

I'm pretty sure Tim Holtz did a holly die. A holly/berry garland sounds like a lovely idea, might just have to have a go myself. I always try to make something handmade for Christmas and that might be it this year.

I'm just finishing off knitting several dozen pairs of fingerless mittens and pocket sized dolls that are going to be sent to Turkey so that a friend can include them in distributions for Syrian children at the refugee camps - at the moment they are piling up like akathy's dishcloths and I keep thinking that I will do just one more before posting them off!! After that I'm planning to do some more baby layettes to send to another friend.....love doing those as well!!

Unfortunately, I *am* cutting them by hand. I made it a bit easier on myself by ironing the felt to freezer paper first so I could draw the design on the paper and cut, it makes it SO much easier to navigate the little sharps points. I think that when I am done they end up cuter than I originally though. I didn't like the green felt on it's own, so I added a layer of black felt that I hand cut just a bit larger than leaf and it gave it a folk arty kind of look.

The bear cowl is adorable. I'm crocheting holly leaves to use as gift tags and knitting my husband a scarf . My knitting is very basic so it's a simple garter stitch in graphite wool.

I can, but haven't done so in many years. There is a studio here in town and I am seriously thinking about taking a refresher class this winter. I finally have room to open up my loom and would like to do some small things to start off. Are you a weaver? I love to weave, but don't have space for my loom in my itty bitty house. I am thinking of trying some smaller hand made looms.

I spent today turning a $6 sheet and $10 worth of river stones into a weighted blanket that I hope will help me sleep through summer.. I sleep great in winter when the blankets are piled on and I can barely move. But in summer that's a bit warm... We'll see how it goes.
And.. That's it. Lots of Pinterest and facebook this week which I'm pretty sure doesn't count!

I would never have thought of this, but I too have that need to have a pile on me, and then wake up in a pool of sweat.
